New leather upholstery.

When installing the new stuff, as I mentioned previously, the steam is the most important step. It really expands the old foam, removed wrinkles, makes the foam soft and "like new" again.

Once the new upholstery is installed, its a little bit loose, kinda wrinkly, but not bad at all. Once it has sat in the heat for a month, the new leather has tightened up perfectly, and looks just right with no more wrinkles. The pass seat in these pics is the tightened up seat, the drivers was installed two days ago and is still a little loose. Its so soft and comfortable, its crazy.

Colors are not a perfect match, but they look way better in person. The camera makes it look really off.

That looks really good

Dang those look great!

Can you tell a difference with the perf?

Don't know yet if I can tell a difference. I can tell its really soft in comparison to the old factory leather. I assume the perforation must breathe a little bit, and look cool at the same time.

This stuff is really well made. If you want seats go to leatherseats.com, they have a vinyl option too thats about $700, and seeing the vinyl that's on the backs of my seats, I would for sure buy the vinyl kit. I can barely tell the difference.

You won't be able to notice any difference in terms of breathable-ness by having perforations. Just be careful having them in an off-road vehicle. If you get mud in the perforations, you'll be there a while with a tooth pick trying to get it out. Without the perforations, a wet towel will remove all of the mud.

Update on my leather. I was reading the other thread about LSeats and thought I would remind everyone about this company that I used (leatherseats.com). I have had the front seat upholstery on for a couple years now I think. My opinion on this leather is that it's very good quality. I have a 5yr old climbing in and out, no problems. The leather has tightened up, the color richness has kinda toned down a bit, so it looks color matched to the rest of the interior really well.

I need to get the back seat installed soon, but I am glad I haven't done that yet because my 5 yr old is going through a slime phase, and the back seat is her territory. However, soon her reign shall end, and I will defeat the child in a battle for the back seat. Claiming my territory again, the smell of new leather will engulf the cabin one more.

Anyone installing new upholstery, remember to use steam. Must steam the foam first!

One more thing. When I first bought my Land Cruiser, my original seats were dry and slightly wrinkled. One place was almost a crack, but not quite. I used a high quality conditioner, several times until many of the creases nearly disappeared and the seats softened. I also used some crack repair and die kit too, which didn't last long. Looked great for a little while, but then all my seats fell apart. I tried everything to save the old seats, but it was hopeless.

Can anyone give me some insight into removing the hard plastic under second row seat DS?
Something (possible beans or dog food (PO's kids)) rolling around in bottom.

I have the same issue - glad I saw this thread!!

Really like the perforated leather! I'll have to put this on my list of future to-do's also since my seats have seen much better days

From same supplier?
Same stuff. I ordered a full set and the back seat has been in a box for 2 years. Im doing it now, sick of thinking about it.

This is such an upgrade to me, when my seats finally give in I'm all in for two-tone on a grey interior. Thanks man, always useful info!

Bonus!!! Looke what I found in the box, under the back seat covers. Back pockets for the back of the front 2 seats. Yes!

I just finished doing my fronts and was considering doing my rears, but I think I may just pass on the back rows. My kids can suffer, they aren't that bad! The two tone looks killer by the way!
