Its with deep sadness I want to inform everyone here of Hugh's passing. I can say for a fact he Loved this community. The last few months were some of the roughest he had been through. Completing Tay-Yota meant the world to him and knowing he was passing on among so many other things in life this wonderful hobby to his children. Hugh was one of my dearest friends and I am totally at a loss right now. We shared parts run adventures BBQ's wrenching parties and Life. Today was his service I want you to know ALL your comments and likes always had him smiling.

Hugh was the last person to work on Tay-Yota installing the factory shifter knob the day we delivered it to Taylor. @45Kevin in another post made the comment and I shared it yesterday at Hugh' service " Every time she shifts a gear she will be holding his hand "

Sorry to read this, you always hope for a different outcome.
I wish the family all the best in dealing with their loss.

I’m very sorry for the loss that Taylor and the rest of her family (obviously including you) and friends are suffering through.

I don’t know any of you, but it goes without saying, everyone should be so fortunate to have a friend like you.

As you’ve repeatedly said, the community really stepped up... but, you, my friend, killed it!!

Well today was a very special day for our Toyota Family. Let me introduce Mr and Mrs Wylde. Yes today Dakota and Taylor joint the knot. And keeping in spirit of this build Thanks to Mike @Ghetto Fireman the perfect Wedding gift was delivered. A new bumper, perfect for TAYOTA The kids were thrilled as you can see. Congratulations

They didn’t even open it ... How could they even tell what it was?

:)

I used to have that same bar on my cruiser... it holds up really well when you roll... however hope they do not need to test it in that way :)

Making it through the thread and catching up ... a very sad time ... lead to a very happy moment

Congrats to the couple !!!

Enjoy those happy moments and endure the sad

What an incredible story on an incredible build. It breaks my heart to hear about Hugh but she'll always have this cruiser to remember him by.

This whole thread is just a testament to how amazing the Mud/Landcruiser community is.

My deepest condolences too Taylor and her family plus all the great friends Hugh had.
Great to see the community come together and help out on this great build.

I want to Thank Stan Wright editor of Toyota Trails, Toyota Land Cruiser Association magazine. Sharing Toy-Yota's story was personal and I am very grateful to everyone who helped.
