On my 99 lx 470 there is a mystery switch on the drivers side. I've attached a picture that shows what 1 of the wires runs to, the other runs to ground. I feel like it may be missing a terminal, as only two are connected, but I am certainly no electrician. Also, the knock out that the switch sits in, is broken, what would I search for to find a replacement?

Only time I've seen similar transparent wires was on speaker/ audio stuff... but also no electrician by any means ;-)

Is this from the original F&F ? Before it became like a superhero movie lol now I gotta watch the original ...

I found it interesting that OPs computer down there has like Arabic writing on it , what's that all about ? Maybe we all have the same thing but was wondering if this was an import

Post pic of switch . I can't imagine it being audio related . If you flip the switch does your vehicle still run, maybe aftermarket cut off switch but idk that's kinda dumb

You'll need to figure out where that yellow blue wire it's attached to is headed. Maybe it is just a fix for a speaker but then why would it have a switch and be grounded up there. Hmmm

Looks like a NOS switch. Check your NOS bottles and regulator and see what color wires they have.
I was thinking it’s that James Bond switch for the guy to shake the bad guys onthe highway in that previous thread.

The switch has been an incredibly successful placebo for many things on the car. Smoother acceleration, getting the intermittent AC button to function, jamming radar. I didn't mean to post the same picture twice, I actually have a picture of the switch as well, but I feel like I actually buried the lead. I want to remove this switch, but the cover plate has been compromised, how would I get a new one. Fine, twist my arm, I will post the picture of the actual button now.

Ohhh f******k yeah, that's one nice switch...now I can sleep=]

Follow the wire? Let us know where it goes.

It may be to keep AHC in H over 19 MPH or possible DLR override.

I think He did , see post #1 . Grounds out underneath and then dives into that yellow / blue stripe cable
Yeah I know but what I meant was what or where did the wire end up going to (yellow wire). Did it turn on/off something?

I thought maybe someone here would know by site what that wire was, IE if it was a typical one to splice in to. I'll look closer in a bit and update this

Let me see if I could find it in the wiring schematics, try to find the other end of that yellow/black wire.
