Mystery parking brake part

Calling all parts gurus: @OGBeno
I'm in need of a part number for the keeper for the parking brake cable. Mine broke in half when I tried to reinstall it.
Nothing in the EPC for the parking brake lists anything like this:

It was found here:

and its job is to keep the cable from falling through the "bracket". It surrounds the metal cable end at the end of the cable sleeve, just at the bottom of the "bracket".

It looks like there is a newer cable that superceded the original and does not use that end anymore.

I'm going to assume this was one of those 1st generation solutions in search of a problem. MTF
