Nice looking truck. I have to do the same thing with mine :( . where did you buy your new skid plate?

That skid plate is of 1981 vintage that came with the cruiser.

It just got sandblasted and powdercoated gloss black...

Finally in paint...

So got the underside of tub undercoated and it looks GREEN !!!

Supposed to be the 6H9.

What do you guys think, kinda scared me...

The last one looks more like it although I found that the 6H9 is really "alive" and changes with the light ;)

Anyhow, I am prolly bias but I think it looks great

Looks good and I would imagine feels pretty good to be moving along.

Have you made any progress with the titling issue? I had a similar problem when I bought mine as well but fortunately for me the seller and his previous owner did what they could to fix it. They didn't mean to mislead me like your PO seems to have done. Still with everyone doing what they could it was an issue that takes a minimum of two years to clear title. My rig actually was titled with wrong VIN info so instead of just getting a line of sign-offs I had to deal with DMVs is two states. Super-f**kt up. The solution was a really a multi-step process that the DMV agent coached me on. I'm sure you've done this but the titling agent at the DMV is probably your best bet for finding the solution. I would guess there's probably a way to make a claim on title, maybe hold a clouded title, and wait for a mandatory period of time to clear it. Truck looks awesome by the way.

todt...feels GREAT to be moving along, and my wife is excited to boot!

Gundog168...still can't have truck inspected until everything in running order. then request out of state transfer. I think I will plead one more time with Arcteryx here on mud to request a duplicate title in Missouri.

We will see...

I like the color, it looks great, but green is my favorite! Did you paint it in the shop there, no booth? I need to paint mine and was concerned with dust in the paint... Great build!

Michael...thanks. I had a wedding to go to this weekend and didnt get a chance to work on my truck

Will try to get more done this weekend.

I know what you mean, had to go on vacation :grinpimp: did cost me 2 weekends . Was able to step in to the garage for an hour yesterday to get some meassurements and test some ideas, did do something mentaly in the vac. So next Saturday will be the only cruiserday this month, have to go to the UK next week for work followed by a strategy weekend:hhmm:. I will post some ideas in my thread this week.
Have fun with your cruiser next weekend, can't wait to see more.

Lookin good!!!

Ive been extremely busy with work and family, but getting back to it slowly.

Got my fuel tank back from radiator shop yesterday. They lined it with some crap that hardens and keep rust from entering fuel lines, etc.

Also purchased some straight brake lines from NAPA already fitted with 10 mm fittings. Really nice stuff. They are straight and come in several different lengths from 10" to 60" and are coated with some sort of teflon like coating.

Trying to get as much done on the chassis before I set tub on the frame.

I want to strap fuel tank under the tub as it was a bitch getting it off and have read threads were others have had trouble with this before too.

Anyway getting a little closer everyday. Stay tuned...
