I'm all smiles well for the most part now, I haven't even touched the fuel screw.
When i took the exhaust off to get tig'd i had two hangers break. I too note of their location and told the welder to proceed. The two were right out after and made the install harder than normal. Too hard to be honest. A torch fixed that and bent them up a bit. All installed.
Didn't get the gauges in for the initial drive. Sounds nice, drives nice and I haven't even touched the fuel screw. I am all smiles, sounds great and definitely has some more pep, smooth power delivery for sure.
Glad I went with the big aeroturbine as opposed to the little one. The 3030XL does have some ceramic baffling in the entrance which I am sure helps quiet it a little bit. It does sound sportier than normal and you can hear the turbo noise inside the cab with a small increase in noise. I don't think its bad at all.
My buddy who did the exhaust and install with me says its what a diesel should sound like, the turbo noise but not a nasty rattly diesel where you can't hear yourself think in the cab. That nasty diesel loud like a powerstroke is what I am talking about when your in the cab an its still freaking loud. I had a friend tromp on while I listened outside on a few drive bys. It won't wake up the neighbors, family or the girlfriend, sweet. Turbo sound can be heard as soon as the truck passes and the truck is pretty quiet from even a distance. I'm happy with the exhaust at this point.
Just wired up the gauges. Pyro won't work just reads 0. The illumiation works just fine. Triple checked my wiring as the other gauges work. I also tried programming this gauge in the past to have a warning light come on, I contacted them to see if I clicked a wrong parameter to make the gauge not work on the programming. I'll play with this tomorrow and I will hopefully hear back in the morning.
Anyone using the EV2s in a 24v truck you can connect the illumination directly to the 24v source, they said it would be just fine. I am not sure about hooking up the gauge itself to 24v though, you will have to ask them.
Did a test drive, I like the gauges, brightness is fine. Got the boost gauge up to 15psi, holy s***

(walking on it getting onto the highway).
I think this might have to do with a tight boost line from the compressor housing leading to the wastegate actuator (was kinda bent weird when I installed the silicone, figured this might be an issue). Threw Graeme an email for his thoughts.
I ordered vac line on the 23rd and I am hoping that will be a fix as the actuator has 10 psi written on it.
