I have 2-3... I'd hate to think what the freight would be though, or who'd I'd use.. do you want me to try and work it out?
Well honestly I'm open to that ! Depending how much you want for the part .... Can't crunch 300$ of shipping ahah but I bet a 20pounds flywheel will be around 150$ ... If so .. I'm willing... Let me know !

Turned out getting the transmission out is easier than the pedal box.... Damn .... Finally got it ...

The 4 upper bolts were a real pain to get out of there ... But finally after a bit of time we got em out.

Too dark tonight to get the one from the part truck out so I will get some rest and continue tomorrow ... Monday work Tuesday is a holiday so it should be almost done by then. 🤞

Started gutting the brown 83 BJ60 ...

Gathering the parts I need for my MT swap and keeping the rest in the garage 2nd floor .

Swapped the pedal box ... What a pain .... But it's done ... Still need to reinstall the steering column and interior.

I was deceived a little when I noticed the part truck is 12volts and not 24 ... Even with 2 battery... Tought I fixed the rear blower motor with the one in the truck... But no ...

Probably gonna have its own power inverter to avoid finding another ...

Anyway ... Enough for today time to relax now

Part truck body almost empty now ... Only a few more little things I want to pick up before lifting the body from the frame and send it to trash .

Motor and transmission will be easier to get out of the frame without the body.

Nothing much interesting to show tonight as it was more of a "cleanup" night ... Needed more room in the garage for my wife's motorcycle engine hoist and parts that are everywhere in the driveway 😅

Garage is still a tight mess ... But one thing at the time ... Priority is to send the brown truck away.

If there is anything you might need let me know !

@PapaGiamati Didn't find a spare cap :(

Packed most of the parts in the garage 2nd floor.

No big progress .... Almost everything is ready but the transmission cross member ....

Finalized this today :

Finally 3 pedals !! They were pretty rusted.... So they now have stainless plates under Honda covers 😅 I like it tho.

A good progress tonight !

The body Is gonna go soon as it's lifted off the frame. The guy who bought the axles should come get the frame soon so everything will be gone except what I need!

Figured out the cross member will fit on my truck too so no fab ! A little time saved there.

Anyway here is my progress of the night ... All done in the rain ...

Thx to my neighbors .... They understand how I love that truck and don't complain about the noise 😄

Made a good cleanup after getting the motor out . Witch was not as easy as it was supposed to ... A chain link broke and made us almost s*** our pants while the 3b was hanging 4ft from the ground ... Luckily the chain got stuck before it fell and we had time to lower it safely.

Filled the cab with scrap metal and I'm getting it picked up. The frame is also going away this week so I will be able to concentrate on MY truck.

Still not sure the cross member of this frame is the good one ... The 3b Bellhousing is like 9in long ... And the 2h one is more around 7in... Unless it's the engine length that changes and it fit anyway I will have to fab one.....

We will see.... Flywheel is coming around July 15 ( big thx to @duncanrm ) so once it's here the mock-up will set this off.

Still need to figure the wiring to bypass the neutral switch , nothing too complicated but it will have to be done 🤷

So ! The flywheel arrived yesterday! Thx again to Duncanrm for that , I would still be stuck.

Everything is now ready to reassemble. There was a broken pressure plate bolt ... Easily fixed it and installed the flywheel and pillow bearing .....

And then installing the pressure plate .... I broke another bolt .... So I decided to take a break for the night and see what kind of fastener I need to do it right 😅

Today I bought some grade 10.1 M8x1.25 x 16mm bolts , will clean the dowel pins and try again tonight.

Bought the oil for the transmission and T case too .... Cheapest I found around here ended up being a good one anyway so...

Tought I would be rolling tonight ... A bit too optimistic 😂

Clutch is in place and the transmission is close to be too.
PXL_20250719_142953230.MP.jpg

Anyway had a little setback with the transmission mount ... The one i ordered (only available model) is not the same used on the cross member I have ...
PXL_20250719_181924486.jpg

So I went in fab mode once again ...

Well that was a big day .... The truck is running ...

Transmission went in place quite easily , all the rest was a pain ...

Messenger_creation_D4AD7E61-AC9A-446B-B3FF-241113B04F49.jpg

The transmission support fitted pretty well. Drilling the holes was the worse ....
Messenger_creation_AEDA929C-9924-458E-A7E5-51F1278E59E1.jpg

The driveshafts didn't have the right flanges ... Had to press the joints out to replace 2 of them ..

Wiring was quite easy ... Still a few things to figure out ... Like the RPM sensor is still not plugged and backup lights don't work.

Clutch Line was a breeze compared to the rest
Messenger_creation_B1A3C5B4-39C1-46E6-826C-87B89D410B86.jpg

Once all fitted and oil changed we went for a test drive ...

The T case control was not working well ... Forgot the shim washer under the clevis ... And there is still a quite bad noise from the transmission ...

Will have to remove the top cover again ... To check again .... Maybe on of the kids dropped something in the shifter hole ahah ... Sounds like a Ball from a bearing or something in it .... Anyway that's enough for tonight.
Except for the noise it shift smoothly and it seem much better than the A440 ... At least quicker for sure

Well ... Im thinking its a bearing problem ....

clutch in = no noise
clutch out =noise and it gets worse at higher RPM .... but damn that noise is weird it dosent howl like a usual bearing. sounds more like a grinding noise.

Had a long day working on it yesterday , you can imagine the deception .... I kind of hope there is something that dropped in it ...even if its unlikely

A friend told me these transmission are very loud when bearings go out ... so its probably that.:frown:

It's probably an issue with the throwout bearing - do you know what year your H55F came out of? Did you replace the throwout bearing when you did the install? Here's some more info but I think changing adjusting the slave cylinder or changing it to a newer one may fix your issue.

The truck was Automatic , so the slave is new , clutch set is new so pillow bearing and throwout bearing is also new ... Not sure of the year it came out of but probably somewhere around 86-87 as it was on a canadian 2h motor.

pretty sure the bearings are shot in the transmission as on neutral or in gear once the clutch is released the sound is there, only disapear when the transmission is disengaged.

Did you lightly grease the input shaft where the throwout bearing carrier rides? (grasping at straws for you)
