Odd.. are you sure you're timing this correctly, spill tube #1 - what mark are aiming for the on the crank? This pump ran just fine with your A440F didnt it? It cant have shifted timing so dramatically.

You push the clutch and the engine stops?? This is odd.. something is not right.
The engine don't stop when I push the clutch , but the RPM gets around 475 and bump back to normal after .

It's running fine , but I'm timing it with the piezo and the lamp . Should be precise 🤷

I have a little black smoke , and that's it ... But according to the marks and the timing lamp I'm at 14° instead of 18 ....

I'm yet to see a calibration of a piezo electric pickup on #1 line with the FSM spill timing approach.

I wonder if the distance I put the piezo from the pump can affect the reading ... I don't think honestly .... But I will check anyway

I'm almost suspicious there may be some hysteresis issues involved.. i.e what the piezo pickup considers as a spill event is in fact slightly later/earlier? than what the actual spill event visually observed might be.

That's what I think too ... Just spoke with my brother he said it's possible also depending on engine type I might absolutely need to spill time it .... The piezo work well on caterpillar and older Cummins engines but he never had to try it on a Toyota 😅

So , project of the day .. spill timing!

Well I made my spill timing tool ... Then went to work , while at it ... Valve clearances were nice 👍

Went to turn the crankshaft and to my huge surprise ..... The crankshaft bolt/nut was gone ... Witch probably explain the fan blades that went to hell a month ago ... Lucky nothing worse happened .

Ordered a new one ... But wanted to check my timing anyway so I used a big washer and a yoke but I had to turn the crank .

Timing is on point . 18° so the piezo is 4 degrees back .

Well again the truck is on down Time waiting for that bolt .... Sold the 3b today so the T case kit will be ordered and the transmission will come off once again soon.
