HJ60 Frame (4 Viewers)

[87HJ60Cruiser]

I have an 87 HJ60 (from Canada) and its in need of a new frame. Currently have a 62 frame but will have to move the transmission mounts to fit the 5 speed. There is an 84 FJ60 frame for sale also. Just trying to figure out which one would require the least amount of modification. Searched mud and couldn't find any info. Any help would be much appreciated.

Because it's a 87 model i would stick to the 62 frame. That is just my opinion.

I dismantled an ‘87 HJ to swap the good bits into my ‘84 FJ60. The HJ frame is more 62 series than 60. I would stay the course with the 62 frame.

you'll need to modify either frame. Use your 62 frame and move the crossmember mounts to use your original crossmember

87 Steering box will match the 62 frame, the 84 frame has different bolt pattern for the steering box
