I Don't have the money for a new one
only reason I can afford a truck like that is because I can fix it or make parts most of the time.

Seem the guy selling me the part truck might have a H55F and a 2h ... These have been in a fire tho... The barn where they were stored burnt down ... He said the transmission might be good ... The engine is not .. but at least I have a Flywheel

Bought a 5 speed ! Hoping the part truck will have what's missing ( except the flywheel obviously) at least it's a 2h Bell housing and front shaft.
Few questions still ... I found a 10 splines clutch on Rock Auto .... Seem to be unsure if it fits ....
Also , will the shifter from the 4speed fit in that cover ?

wow sorry to hear of the bad luck! But glad you found a 5 spd! I hope you're able to get it on the road again shortly to see out the rest of the summer!

AHAH believe me im a damn workaholic... 2 week downtim MAX.......
I see a lot of twin shifter T-case mods too... I should be good to keep the vacuum actuator witch I already have in my truck for now.
I read in other threads that the swap would be bolt on in a truck with a 4 speed manual so the part truck sould complete everything i need (

Feck yeah! That’s awesome!
You need a 5 speed shifter. Might as well get the new nylon bushing while you’re at it. The 4 speed won’t work.

If it's only that ... Sure will change the bushing ahah. I will try you source one locally ... Might be lucky
The bushing wears out and the shifter will drop making it tough or impossible to shift. I bet you find a shifter up there. That was fast with the transmission.

Welllllll , sorted a few things
First we are on our drive back home from getting the part truck witch is not in a crazy bad shape !
And about the shifter issue ... The guy had another H55F laying around in his shed and that one had the shifter on it ... So I stretched the budget a bit for a set of the right driveshafts and I grabbed the H55F too
So.... I'm still missing a 2H flywheel .... Anyone ? Please ?
