Took it for a little test drive the other day!

Now it's time to work out all the kinks. Definitely need a sway bar in the front at least. Any budget options/ideas out there?

Unfortunately they clearly made a huge mistake and totally sent the wrong part. Totally anticlimactic. Oh well. It was worth a try!
 
In other news if you are looking to add a sway bar to your 40 that is very budget friendly and works great. I went to my local pull yard and grabbed a jeep liberty sway bar. I ordered some quick disconnects off amazon and boom! pics coming.

And I knew that ahead of time, so wasnt disappointed when it didnt work out.....

4WheelParts sent me a Johnny Joint, so have to wait till it comes in and then Im going to take it into the WalMart here in town.

Was worth a shot though!!! :rofl:

I’m seriously terrible about documenting progress. Been doing some text drives around the neighborhood and working out kinks.

Just mounted up the roll cage recently.

Some more photos. Need to figure out how I’m going to mount the PCM under the dash. And clean up some wiring.

Unfortunately no. I've been traveling a lot lately. Hoping to get more done in the coming weeks.
 
Finally back around to working on this again.
I couldn’t get my O2 sensors to cycle properly. Had a blue/green harness with a blue/red PCM on the LS. So I opted for the Aces efi LS lite system. Everything works great now and I have an instrument cluster solution to boot. I’ll post pics once I get the dash done.

The prep for painting has begun! I’m kinda going all in on the small details. New screws and such as much as I can. Wire wheeling things and painting too.

I got these 15x8 US Wheels from summit with a 2.5” backspacing. Painted them the same white as the bezel.

I’ve got some repair work to do on the windshield frame and fenders. Front bib is primed right now. I’m going with duplicolors paint shop system tan. It’s a lacquer. I’m used to spraying lacquer from building customer furniture so I’ll be doing it all myself.

Ok need some help.

RPMs are high and keep climbing. I’m running a 2000 5.3 LS with aces ls efi kit.

Everything I’ve read says vacuum leak. If I prime my fuel pump twice with out starting it I get a crackling sound at the front of the intake. Which sounds like air trying to escape. I’m assuming that’s where my vacuum leak is. I have an egr block off I’ve installed too.

I’m thinking about just getting a new intake. Any recommendations? Factory? Aftermarket?
