It’s all good @DangerNoodle ... the hardest part was making the decision to sell her.

Once the decision was made, it was merely finding the right buyer... kinda like matchmaking... and I think Jaime is perfect for 44 and she for him!!

He’s going to call her 44 until she reveals what she wants to be called.

I’m feeling really good about 44’s future... I know she’s in good hands!!

But seriously, I think you made a brave choice here. Closing a part of you life and with that you open up for a new chapter.

Just enjoy life the way you want and don’t mind us, we are just trying to give you a different perspective.

Sad to see it come to this, but happy for you making the hard decision and moving on. I've been a fair-weather 40-series forum attendee for awhile now... but yours is always a thread I come back to. Truly going to miss your adventures and pics in 44, but I do hope you'll check in with photos of your adventures in whatever form they may take.

On a more sobering note, your health difficulties have been an inspiration to me in a way. Along with my own father, watching your struggles through health issues has been a warning call to me. About 5 years back I committed to improve my eating and fitness overall and I've done that and stuck with it. Even if it doesn't help me later in life I'm convicted to enjoy, in a more healthy manner, what time I'm given now. Your forthrightness on your health issues have been a clarion call to self-betterment now. Thanks for that. Sincerely.

Many (my Wife) included would say I share too much. I know that’s true, but just having one person tell me that my stories have made a difference, for the good, in their life, makes all my oversharing worthwhile.

I enjoy your adventures and stories with the pups. It’s enjoyable to see how another side of the country lives and enjoys the great outdoors.
I share more on mud than any social media site etc. I don’t really use my real name on here but I don’t say anything I wouldn’t in person. Mud for the most part is a nice group of people on the internet. The odd balls get figured out quick here.
Hope you get some relief on pain soon.

Coming from a 43 year software development background, I was initially intimidated by the thought that I could breakdown in the remote areas I prefer and have to hike out.

When I stumbled upon MUD, I almost immediately realized the value of the information available on here.

Again, I had zero mechanical experience, but had scored high in mechanical aptitude, as well as in electrical aptitude, during my Air Force Entrance Exams, in 1968.

So, I went through the FSMs and the MUD threads and identified what I surmised to be potential points-of-failure, that I could easily handle, with proper tools and proper spares.

Then, I spent literally hundreds of hours reading everything I could find, on MUD and a on a couple of other related websites.

I learned a ton about troubleshooting and about MacGyvering and, absent having my own personal mechanic along on my trips, I quickly found I had the ability and the confidence to handle minor repairs on my own.

The large repairs would require professional help, but the minor stuff was easily resolved, with only the help of my dogs.

I never required professional help, but Dianna drove the Tundra out a couple of times and towed me home.

I had a lot of fun and I’m gonna miss it, I’m sure. But, I’m hoping to take the Tundra and trailer up to the Spruce Mountain/Goshute Valley, to meet up with my son-in-law in a couple of weeks. It all depends on my Cardiologist on the 24th.

So, the morale... stay with MUD, help where you can... take advantage of the search capability and search engines and never be afraid to ask a stupid question.
