I hear ya... some people don't understand "the groove" .. I get to welding and fabricating in the morning and the next thing I know I'm being asked if I'm coming to bed.. HA!.

Calipers are C536 and C537 from Autozone. Replacing them because the calipers that came with the axle had different bleeder screw sizes for some dumb reason.

No locker for now. Don't have the $$ to put it in. After the wedding, she'll be getting ARBs front and rear.

Thank you sir! It's mostly trial and error.
A good friend of mine said that what separates the DIY'ers and the professionals is the willingness to do a job over if it wasn't done right the first time. I figure by now I'm about one step ahead of a DIY'er, lol.

Still plugging away at the CMCC preparation. Need to do some sheetmetal work next to clear those big meats I got.
Front driveshaft is a little over-extended, but it'll work for now. Still 3-4" of spline engagement. What threw me for a loop is that my Dana 60 front axle has a 1310 yoke on it. All the research I did said it should have been a 1350, but the calipers don't lie.
Turned my attention to the rear crossmember that needed to be redone. Got some 2x4 .25" wall tube to remake it with. Cut about 1" off of the end of teh frame and reused the portions of the crossmember that extend forward below the gas tank. Didn't want to run new supports forward because they would interfere with the gas tank, should I need to remove it again.
Pics speak for themselves.
I flipping love this Ironman welder. I can't imagine what it's like on full heat.
Crossmember is sucked in to the body just about. That'll give me room to build a bumper and not have it stick out terribly far.
Put the rotating hitch on tonight. Need to cut the bottom lip off of the supporting plate and weld on some d-rings for the safety chain, then this little project is wrapped up.

Johnny, looking good. that exhaust looks ridiculously large compared to my 2.5 in. exhaust. I been meaning to ask you if your front tires have been cupping and how often do you rotate them.

That's just a 5" tip. Rest of my exhaust is 3", front to back. I'm lucky that my Dana 300 transfercase is small enough that I can run the exhaust on the passenger side all the way back, and keep it above the frame.
I don't think that my tires are cupping, but the fronts have only been on since I did the D60 front end conversion last month.
