Mitsubishi Leaf Springs on a Pig ???

So i was cleaning out my engine bay getting the frame ready for doing some welding and i noticed one of my leaf springs had a diamond logo on it. upon closer inspection i found that there were 3 in a manner that looks strikingly similar to the Mitsubishi logo. if this is something well know my apologies for the alarm it was a bit of a surprise. i zoomed in a bit in photoshop on the bottom.


does anyone know anything about this?????

No but Mitsubishi means 3 diamonds in Japanese.

well i'm fairly certain that is the mitsubishi logo. i'm just wondering what its doing on a toyota part. i'm wondering if there is an mitsu spring that fits the front of the fj55.

Interesting! I could see where back in the day Mitsubishi Heavy Industries was a spring vendor to Toyota.

Wonder if they have/had any springs in their catalog for Pigs? I love the ride with my factory springs...

They did supply springs to Toyota. I have the same marks on my 1977 FJ40's spring packs.

Mitsubishi supplied alot of springs for cruisers. Seen that stamp on many a spring
