I think with the injection, a 2.8 pulley would be fine. If the injection system ever failed, you would still be able to baby it along. That is assuming it's an obd II truck. Obd I runs leaner so I hear.

I think he meant he lost 2 seconds as in 11 secs down to like 9 secs.

I'd take that second. NiceI just dropped in the 2.8" pulley wheel and have noticed a positive difference, albeit subtle, going uphill. No knock, no codes, everything looking fine in fall weather. I am dubious I've gained anything beyond a second on a 0-60 pull.
