Got the front wheels on!! Really like the stance! It's a little high, but I'm hopeful that the bumpers will bring it down an inch or so.

Don't know if anyone else noticed but I love your shop seat. Very custom roller....
Haha thanks, my grandpa is pretty creative. He took one of my dads old office chairs and some live oak planks and put it together. It's surprisingly comfy!

Good job MJ, That lift should settle down a bit and yes the bumpers will help too. Keep it up.

J
Thank you reevesci, that is what I was hoping. I have a winch and a spare tire carrier so it should balance out nicely!

Man that is awesome, can't wait to get to that point. Started welding on my shackle mounts and ran out of welding wire. Hopefully will pick up some tomorrow and get it finished up. Ill update my thread when I get a little further along.

It is definitely a good feeling to have all 4 tires on the ground again! Do you already have your rear end done?

Got it all mocked up and sitting on its own weight. Don't have the perches tacked on yet. Gonna wait till the front is mocked up and then burn them all in for good. Got every thing to rebuild the rear and the front.

Finished up my steering, still need to install the hydro steer. Looks like I should be finishing it up next weekend! Brakes and shocks then fine tuning and she will be Rollin' again!

Right on man! I sure hope that I don't have to rebuild the hubs any time soon.. I was learning as I went so it took a while..

Trying to sale some other four wheel parts to fund the 60 build. Got some Dana 44 axles, Dana 300 t-case, sbc 305 and builder parts to sale. Hopefully enough funds will come from the sale of that to get ARB for front and rear and repaint the body.

I regret not saving up for ARBs. But I guess
It won't be that bad taking it all apart and putting them in later on since I know what to do now!

I need a little help from those who are running or are familiar with the marlin high steer setup. I am in the process of aligning my front end and have the TRE's screwed all the way into the tie rod, but my front tires still need to come in some. I searched this problem and saw some people over at pirate had similar issues a while back (2005 ish). Just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this with the Marlin kit, and what they did to resolve it. Thanks in advance!

So you're saying that it has a lot of toe out right now with the TREs screwed all the way in?

You could cut the tierod down a bit say 1/4" per side . If the threads don't go that deep you'd have to cut the shank of the tierod down as well .

Not a lot but I can't get the right toe in adjustment. And yes both the jam nuts and TREs are all the way in.

Ya that's what I'm going to do. I called marlin this morning and the guy said that the length of my tierod (44") is what they always send out. Guess they all require a little fine tuning. No big deal though I will just chop off 1/4" each side like you said and go from there!

Built some shock hoops at school today. Still
Need to trim them up, but I'm happy with the end result considering it was my first time using a tube bender!
