As per another post in this forum, I previously had a Lexus ISF with its glorious NA 5.0l screamer of an engine. Miss that car. Anyway, I did a bit of work to the car, all the usual stuff including a tune.
One of the things I did was replace the stock intake tube between the factory air box and the throttle body. It gave a great little intake growl while maintaining the excellent stock airbox. Reliable, neat, functional, perfect.
I have been looking to do something similar in my LX, and have heard back from K&N with this:
www.knfilters.com
If you go down to the install instruction this is exactly what I’m after:
Now I personally won’t be installing the filter, but it comes with the kit, so whatever. I want the factory airbox to remain as is, I think it’s extremely functional. I’m just after the removal of the intake resonators for a bit more growl in the cabin. I know there has been discussion around the intake flow being affected at certain RPM, but this is not a performance engine, and I would bet a few $$$ that it’s just for keeping the intake growl sound at the lowest possible levels.
Has anyone had experience with this product? Any last minute “DONT DO IT!” warnings? Thanks in advance.

The Cold Air Intake - High-flow, Roto-mold Tube - TOYOTA LAND CRUISER V8-5.7L for the 2015 Lexus LX570 with a 5.7L V8 Gas engine is guaranteed to increase power and torque.
