It is taken directly from the LX 570’s internal Lexus chassis and platform code, URJ201, which, to off-roaders around the world translates to “The Business”.

Someone in marketing needs to be slapped.

Either way it looks great. Was the 2018 recently added to the “tunable ECU” list?

Interesting to see this so late in the 200 series game. Wonder how much fun CBI had designing those sliders?

The videos are way more informative

Lexus isn't the only rolling out something new at the Rebelle Rally... 😎

Emme Hall and Rebecca Donaghe won the rally last year in a Rolls Royce Cullinan, but they will be driving a Rivian R1T this year! Emme's instagram (click here: Login • Instagram) is a great place to get updates, and if you check out her current story you can watch the race prepped R1T rolling off the transporter getting ready to start the race in 2 days. It should be very interesting to see how an all electric enthusiast focused 4x4 will perform in a 1,200+ mile off road rally.

Lots going on with that Prinsu rack. Looks longer so that the front wind faring lines up with the front glass better as with their 4-Runner and other vehicle racks, side grab handles, and rear scene light mount.

That hybrid front bumper is very well done and integrated. Liking that look.

Wonder if the aftermarket will release any of these products. I believe key parts of the GXOR design study are now available to the GX community.

Still curious that they would put in such an effort this late in the 200-series game.

Even though late, it still exciting to see. Looks like XOverland did the build with support from CBI. I agree with Scott, "[t]he front grill of the LX570 has been our least favorite attribute (it is incongruent with the platform intent, and the primary buyer demographic), but the unique CBI front bumper helps shift that opinion slightly."

Anyone have links to the XOverland design effort or commentary for this vehicle?

Whaaatt??? Small print:

"Vehicle shown is a special project car, modified with non-Genuine Lexus parts and accessories. Modification with these non-Genuine parts or accessories will void the factory warranty, may negatively impact vehicle performance and safety, and may not be street legal."

You are surprised by this?

A lot of the stuff 3rd party vendors sell have not been crash tested nor DOT approved. Only ARB and maybe a few other vendors crash-test their stuff.

The rear bumper may be one of the least offensive so far. No telling how functional or durable it is, but I really like the detail around the mud flaps. Nicely integrated.

I got an email about it today. I am on their mailing list.

Expedition Overland has joined forces with Lexus again this year and are proud to announce the all-new J201 concept vehicle! Its official debut at the Rebelle Rally will put this one-of-a-kind rig to the test so make sure to follow along for the next two weeks.
Please join us in cheering them on and check out more photos below of this stellar vehicle!

Until next time...be inspired,

Appreciate the info!

That's quite an upgrade for the team coming from a relatively stock GX prior. A bit hesitant also as the j201 concept would seem to be heavier and less agile with all the armor and drawers, albeit with 2x more power. Hope they have an aux tank.

Wonder if the supercharger would help with towing my new trailer... :D
