I snatched these off of his post on another site. He kept them when he traded the FJC for a new Taco but decided they wouldn't work (look right) with the new rig.
They are factory steelies so 17x7.5, 0 offset.

Is this the set up you are running @Crusha ? (wheels and offset that is)

Stock FJC 17" wheels with no spacers, no issues, love them!

I stock up on them when I can find them at a reasonable price. Generally about $50 each. I currently have nine in stock. Five are new (currently mounted on 37's and just sitting on a pallet rack), and the other four are painted gray. I think my truck has eaten about six or seven of them since 2013.

Thanks for the info @Crusha.
I'm trying to complete the "Crusha Clone" 80 build, and want to get every detail correct.:rofl::lol::rofl::lol:
On a serious note, I started second guessing going with the aluminum stockers, and figured these would be a bit more durable and practical.
Thanks for the info. I was happy to hear the price range you quoted. Ill be keeping my eyes open now.
Thread hijack over.

"Crusha Clone 80" is the name of my new fragrance! Debuting soon!

It's a heady mix of dented sheet metal, bent rims, bourbon fumes, and a heavy handed dash of "why not"!

Damn, that sounds awesome...sign me up for the pre-sale introductory discount price!

I'll take the double bourbon fumes variety....although that probably means more dented sheet metal too!:hillbilly: (Lord knows I'm good at that).

My friend Steve is selling a set of four BFG All terrain KO style tires size 285/75-16. Two are like new two are very good. no wheels. looking to get $500 for the set of four. I should be able to poste a photo shortly. Contact me! Thanks, gary

Hey guys, been in Pittsburgh for a few years now with a '78 FJ40, it's been sulking in the back of my garage with a thrown rod. I found a donor engine, took it to a shop to get swapped (my garage ceiling is too low for my hoist to pull the original!), and it turns out the donor was seized, likely from sitting (1 year with me, 2 years with PO). The shop I took it to got it moving, pulled the head, then took a look at the crank. Crank looks good, cylinders look mostly clear, but it's still hitching a little bit while manually turning over. I don't think they have pulled the pistons completely out of the cylinders yet, I'm going to see them tomorrow. Hopefully we'll be able to take a look and see what's catching. They are recommending a rebuild, but I'd like to get the 40 on the road quickly. Does anyone have a line on a 2F engine? I'm looking for a runner that will keep things moving for the next year while I rebuild either the donor or the (factory) original engine that originally went.

Thanks everyone, looking forward to hearing if there is anything around! @shmukster John Smith recommended I talk with you, too, and lo and behold, you posted just before me!

Check with Vince or Nathan at Forge Specialties in Fredericksburg, VA.

I don't have anything right at the moment. I do have an 85 FJ60 parts rig but the engine is spoken for. Running usable 2F engine are getting hard to find. If Nathan and Vince have anything I would recommend buying from them, they're good guys. Don't hesitate to buy a good used F engine though- some of them are great engines and you might have better luck finding one of those. Good luck!

Tell them to put the head back on and run that one. Rebuild the original while you blow the smoke out of the unstuck one.
It's an old tractor! If you treat it like a racecar....

My $.02

... and just run the piss out of it.

I would bolt that motor back up and run it. At this point I would have mechanics put it back together and ow it home. They are lickily going to milk all the "what ifs" to ave themselves the liability. At this point you can get it running in the garage. Just because it was seized doesn't mean it won't run and be a good mill. Don't drive it to California!

Damn… Just bought a set the beginning of the month.
