Gotta love what you can use those kids toys that get left in the driveway for. :hillbilly:

Funny thing is, my mom brought her home while I was trimming and she walked straight over, pointed at the chalk and said, "that's MY chalk."

good trim work!

Thanks!

Pulled the running boards off when I got home from work. Super easy so I didn't bother with the play by play on the pictures. Just disconnect the connector on each side and take out the 6 bolts holding the brackets to the body.

Some "after" pics:

Better every day.

Hell now I need to pull mine off my 3rd gen. Seems like all the cool kids are doing it these days. :smokin:

Got the Shrockworks on order yet?

Totally agree on the steps. It's not like the Tundra where it was impossible to get in without them. Little bit (and maybe @Mrsjynx ) might have some trouble but you'll be fine.

Negative on the Shrockworks. Gonna take some time for my wallet to rebound from the recent mods. Plus the sticker shock is pretty strong... It's like $1300...

PLUS PLUS sliders before bumpers. I think that's like an off-road commandment or something. Thou shalt protect thy rockers before thou puchasheth a bumper... or whatever. :grinpimp:

So my next 500-700 bucks will go to sliders.

(And I have the "last" Borla to purchase as well... :poof:)

Heading to the ACC ride this weekend. Was hoping to get a bunch of wheeling pictures. Weather is not looking great right now...

So I might now get as many pics as I'd like but I'm still gonna wheel!!! :steer:

Bunny trails.... If GMP is wet the bunny trails turn into black diamonds pretty quick. Just making it around the 1 - 2 loop could be an adventure.

It will be fun to watch that's for sure.

I feel like a good cleaning for the 4Runner will be in the cards early next week :hillbilly:

the rain will make things more fun!

Well, contrary to my last off road vehicle, I will definitely clean this one up after. I'll probably just run it down to the DIY car wash to knock all the mud off the bottom and then bring it up to work and turn the cleanup guys loose on it. Feel like they do a better job than I do.

Edit: And you're not joking about 1&2. Were you there the time that a bunch of guys were having trouble just getting up the hill at the bottom of 2?? It had just poured rain and they were trying to come up the hill that dumps out right by our usual pavilion. (We usually go down right there since we're right next to that entrance. Also, that's the spot I took the bone stock 4Runner with street tires up with your expert spotting.) Anyway, they couldn't get up the bottom of the hill and had to go all the way around.

There will still be lots of fun trails. The one that runs around behind the pavilion (not the mud pit one, the other one, 42 or 43?). 1 and 2. The one that comes up on the road that Chuck got stuck at the bottom of last time (11 I think). 16. The one by the motocross track (14 maybe?). Anyway, I'm sure we can keep ourselves busy.

Ah yes, the quote from the bottom of the GMP park map:

"The risk of damage as well as the difficulty ratings of the trails both increase
drastically in the event of rain due to the high clay content in the soil at Golden Mountain Park."

A truer statement has never been made...

Cross posting some pictures from the event thread (someone else took these...):

GMP wet...not sad I missed that one lol

@DanKunz it was very wet, but it was a VERY good time. We still got a good bit of wheeling in between the rain drops.

And in those pictures what you don't see is the fact that due to the long hill and crazy slick trail there was about 200'+ of straps and cable needed to reach all the way to get a hook on Sam.

I should have gotten a panoramic shot. There is probably 40'-50' and a snatched block above this point!

pictures look great haha. and yep, that was the longest "winch line" I've ever seen in person lol!

They should! A bunch of them are yours (or Aidens I guess, not sure who actually took them).

Here are a couple more (again taken by somebody else!)
