One day it will be a customer's Trekker. We're sorting things out right now on it. Unfortunately I found it after it had been "restored"...so we're sorting thru that right now. It's a very complete truck, 112k miles, not too heavily modded(lift, some kind of front brake conversion, gears)....so it's a good starting point.

Interior needs the most help and it's only because I think it could be a lot better. This was truck was treated to nothing more than a quick re-do to flip which sucks because it would have been a phenomenal truck to maybe spend a little more on and do things the right way. There's a Trekker for sale now for $50k that's mint. This could have been in that category I think. Maybe one day.

Fortunately motor is all complete....I doubt it has ever had anything done to it other than tune ups. Runs great. Neat little trucks.

Nice!
Much, much better starting place than mine!
The yellow one on eBay has been for sale for months, they just won't bring that kind of money. It is from Jack Safro's (originator of Trekkers) personal collection.
That thing is obviously on its last legs so you should consider getting rid of it.
Dang it now you got me thinking. We have an electric smoker that the wife doesn’t like to use anymore.
Great rabbit hole.... The quality of the powder makes a huge difference. I have been very happy with what I’ve ordered from pendry.

Remember that the time to cook it is once the pieces reach temperature.
my process now is to first put the piece in the oven bring it to temperature For 20 minutes let off gas for this process pull it out let it cool down then spray it and put it back in to temperature and usually a second coat For full time.
no, I learned that you can't ever get all the oil off the piece your doing, with your hands touching it, so first goal is to get the part clean, so you just put it in the oven, turn the oven on and just get the part hot and burn off any oil. Then you pull it out, let it cool down. Then you spray your first coat. Let it get to temp in the oven then cook it for the labeled amount of time. This lazer is the way to test temps. Then pull it out, let it cool a little, flip the part over -- if you have other mounting holes, to make sure you get all spots, then spray second coat. Then back to the oven.
Totally agree with you, best way to protect parts, and it may seem like it takes longer with all these words, but really so much faster than painting, when you think that once this cools, it is as strong a finish as it will be, you don't need to let the paint dry overnight.

Read through this thread and got super inspired. I have an old 100 series that Isn't road legal and now I'm kinda thinking about putting a 79 body on it if that will fit.
