Do any of you know if the heated mirror switch on LX470s is supposed to be lighted? Mine is not and I can't remember if it ever was since i have had it...

Another one followed me home. Can we keep it?
I tried tightening t two bolts on the cluster. The right ones goes in tight and snug. The left side seems to be going in and then it pops loose. It's definitely that side that's causing the problems. If I wiggle or over it it will temporarily light things up. Need to try it again. Tomorrow.
Ok, got my instrument cluster back light working. On my 3rd try I noticed I did not reconnect a wiring harness.
The 2 bolts to mount the wiring harness is still very tricky.
Now the cruise control light blinks, need to figure what that's all about.

Just installed the LED's from the link I posted way back when. They ARE dimmable. And they're less than 1/10th the price of those previously used in this thread.

They're definitely not as white as the pictures show in the auction. They're more like 6k with a faint blue hue to them. But for under 3 bux who cares.
digging up an old thread, looking to do the swap soon, changing little by little things to modernize the 100. saving this list, thanks!

I would expect it to be a similar procedure to my son's 2000 LC, but I'm still running the original bulb and haven't had to deal with this issue in my LX yet.
I hate to bring up this ancient thread, but when I tried to replaced the #74 bulb yesterday, it wouldn't come off the plastic base. Is there any trick to take it off?

Not 100% but pretty sure you just buy a whole new unit that has the bulb and base.
***Update: found the whole unit for sale, just bought a whole bunch***
I thought it could be swapped out like in this picture. I have the same led bulb.

I have a sort of "revised" master list of this:
on an Excel sheet at work. Can get it tomorrow if it's what you're looking for. No full "kit" exists other than PFrans for overhead lights and such.

I really just need the speedo and tach/background a bit brighter. To accomplish that- is it just the 6 main bulbs?

If i just wanted the backlighting of the gauges a bit brighter- would I just use:
dash cluster Gauge backlight 74 6 blue 74-BHP3?
Can anyone confirm whether or not the instrument backlighting can be changed for the 03+ LX cluster?
