I wonder, how would the versions without SDM (like the 1958) fare against to ones with SDM but with the bars connected (549)?
Would they be (roughly) the same or would they have slightly more articulation to compensate for lack of SDM??

Assuming they use the same size swaybar (appears so from the few pictures I have seen), it should be the same. SDM is just a splined collar in the middle of the swaybar

Would be the exact same, with one caveat. The 1958 comes with slightly smaller tires than the other versions. That may affect the RTI, but only very slightly. Probably negligible.

Skids added. Not as beefy as I want, but will have to do for now. I haven’t seen any aftermarket ready to ship yet. Correct me if I’m wrong. Front one seems solid. Trans one not as rigid since it cover bigger gap between crossmembers.

Anyone know who is making these for Toyota? Surprised to see they’re made in the USA.

Install sheet says “heavy duty high strength steel.” Wonder what high strength steel it is.

Can post some "side shots" of the skids?

It's been bothering me how it looks like the 250's skids hang much lower (aft of the engine cradle) than how they were on the 200. I'm wondering if the engine cradle was lowered vs the 200s.

Truck is coming along great! Do you have any suspension plans?

x2 on the oil filter/drain location.

How was the install? Looks pretty straight forward, just some bolts? Looking at the discount parts wholesalers online vs the MSRP + labor quote my dealer gave me, I think it might be fun to try to add them myself. Need anything more than a ramp and a torque wrench (and maybe a friend)?

Installing skid plates is easy. Every time I've installed skid plates I just use a jack to help hoist and hold it into place. If you don't have a jack, use the emergency one in the car.
