Nice photos. That 1958 has Yokohama tires, rather than the Dunlops we’ve seen so far. It’s an odd tire size (245/70R18), so good to see other manufacturer’s might join in. I’m also seeing mudguards and running boards for the first time.

It did have running boards they were a little off putting in my opinion

Thanks for posting these. Did you by chance look at the size of the spare tire space?
I was under there but I didn’t.

I'm interested in the Land Cruiser trim (Land Cruiser Squared, 2 X Land Cruiser, Land Land Cruiser Cruiser???), but if it's similarly equipped on the outside as the 1958 featured in UT, first thing I'll do is take off the rigid mud flaps, running boards, and huge hitch cover.

Jaos posted some pictures of their GX550 recently.

If I have the option, I’ll equip my 1958 with the mud flaps we saw on the First Edition. I’d prefer to not have running boards, but if kids or wife don’t like climbing in I’ll have to get some.

Edit: I’ll also probably remove the front air dams.

I have a hard time understanding why they are showing the new Land Cruiser with street tires. Feels like the marketing team at Lexus is doing a better job of marketing to potential off roaders than the Land Cruiser team is doing.

Your guess is as good as mine when it comes to Toyota’s marketing strategy for the LC250. But, for what it’s worth, all of Toyota Australia’s Prado and LC300 trims come with highway tires.

They will need to sell them with MPG friendly tires to max out efficiency. Knowing we will all swap them out for something else anyway.

Sure. Selling at the dealer is one thing, but marketing is entirely different.
