The details of this 10 unit run just got forwarded to the group that bought superchargers through me, FYI.

Good work.

Awesome! Hopefully this gets to move forward. I wished this was available when I first did my install. But then there would be a much shorter overheating thread :P

Count me in on a orange hub as well.
Thanks.

Friday pay day bump. We want to make sure we get the needed numbers to move forward so that there is no delay once the SCs start coming in.

I have a list of those who purchased the clutch. So everyone should get a wedge.

Just received my plastic spacer in the mail, thank you. However, I am having a slightly different fitment issue. As part of the install of the modified fan hub I also installed a new CSF brass/copper radiator and a new shroud(broke mine getting it out). The CSF radiator doesn't come with any foam tape around the perimeter face so I installed some on the radiator face that goes against the core support and also some on the shroud where it contacts the radiator. I can now guarantee that all the air is coming through the radiator and not the gaps in the core support/shroud. When I first started it up though I noticed a tapping sound on the passenger side of the shroud and determined that one tip of one blade had a little extra flashing on it that was slightly hitting the shroud. I figured it was because I had put the foam tape in which pushed the shroud out an 1/8" or so towards the engine. Since the shroud is only held to the radiator by the 2 loose tabs at the bottom and the 2 screws at the top, I added some large binder clips to the sides of the shroud/radiator to compress the foam tape between the shroud and radiator to stiffen it up and the tapping went away.
With that being said, if my issue is on the passenger side should I still install the wedge on the driver side? Before your fan contacted the radiator at high rpm, how far from the shroud/radiator were the blades?
Other than this minor issue, I am really happy with the improvements in cooling. I'm headed to Death Valley in 2 weeks so that will be the true test of my improved cooling system. Hopefully my 230 degree coolant temps in the desert are a thing of the past.

Perhaps a stupid question... Why can't we just space the original fan off the clutch using some washers or maybe some kind of custom plate that goes on the front of the clutch?

Adding to that, if we only need to space it out 5/16", perhaps we could just pull the metal plate off 2-3 junkyard fans and stack them. Could throw a little epoxy between each layer or maybe a couple tack welds to hod it all together. I may try that unless there's some major reason it would be a bad idea.

LANDTANK and I are anxious to get our hands on these clutches before they become NLA but we got some more bad news thrust on us, these orange hub fan clutches are actually more expensive now and the price change is out of the control of our supplier. LANDTANK and I have decided to go ahead with getting the 10 before they are gone forever and I am now opening up the page to pre-order the clutch. We have also decided that we will hold the price as is until this Friday. So whoever gets in now gets the initial pricing still. Anyone looking to get in after Friday will be subject to an increase of $35.

I did this. All you need is about 1/4" spacer.
