Was this before? I have to say I haven't seen one that dirty.
Yes. That is a before pic. The truck looked like it was lived in for some time. Basic hygiene was ignored. But I did get it for a steal.

Tested with a festoon style LED, www.PFranleds.com boards will be final solution.

Once you get your Pfrans, that will light up the back quite nicely

Ha!

Every single, and I mean EVERY, one of those I had I threw in the trash because LEDs would start burning out or worse, blinking annoyingly. Hopefully you have better luck.

I've had mine in my 100 for over two years with no issues. Exterior bulbs, overheads and doors.

If any has an issue ill toss it. I'm not a fan of dead batteries. Though my 100 is pretty well set up not to fail, this prolly will the first weekend.

Thinking that the. 3rd tow seat belt mounting area would make for a great 3.5" mounting location with a set of brackets installed to support the speaker. Thoughts?

Found a broken and fractured wire in the upper gate grommet. Repaired them both. Now the 3rd brake light is operational.

I will have to check that area as my rear wiper only works if you open the right rear door. The circuit finds a path to ground when that door switch closes. Odd

Personally I don't think it would be worth the effort. Too far away and too easy to buried with gear in the back.

I have thought about using a component type set up in the rear with the mids in the rear doors, tweeters in the headliner cargo location and a sub in the OEM sub location. Nothing really commercially available so I'd have to piece it together. So beyond the simple idea I have not explored it much. But I like an OEM appearance on the surface personally.

I'll need every year or versions of the old bracket, so if there is variances I can offer one that fits all 80's

The 80's need a 10" sub in a baaaaaad way. I picked up a mono amp and should be able to fit both on the same bracket. I'm not a fan of Aluminium so it will be stainless as Aluminium tends to fracture at forming points.

Please PM me if you have one I can have.
I'll pull mine and ship it to you. Its a 94, so between mine and yours should have them all covered right? Or maybe need a 91/92 also? PM forthcoming!

I have seen that more than once. As these things age I 'm sure it will become more frequent.

The quarter panel sub speaker/bracket is the same for all years 80.

Reminder that many items made in china are junk and others superior quality.

Example, I have more lights, pods and light bars that any one man should. Testing the so called good brands that whore their products out and brands I can't even find on google that are superior to anything I've seen. Sure they rebrand them and we've heard of those lights. But getting to the manufacture was a huge deal. I had the first curved light bards last month and tore them apart. Amazing quality. No silicone and completely serviceable. I've mounted 42" curved on both our trucks now with great results in light output and quality.

I just removed a Aurora 50" off my truck that I have never hooked up, yep never wired and it had water intrusion. How? Extruded housings and not die cast. The end caps have a rubber piece that wedged in the cap with silicone. Horrible design. Don't have that issue with die cast and the sides are part of the housing.

With your lights, I did go through many ebay ones that were junk, loose, thin wires, not assembled correctly and for short just garbage.

Weather Paul got lucky and bought the best ones available I don't know, but I haven't had one fail yet.

Halogen has been around for 100 years, HIR and HID will pass quickly as they produce to much heat and fail. LED's will be here for another 100 years, just buy the best you can.

The dash lights I leave stock as the replacements LED's are to bright for me.

Just my thoughts.

Hey Shane I tried to call you, email you. Get back with me please.

Scott, forwarded you tracking and pictures.

The reason for the new hardware and not rivets is to allow you to remove and change the color of the backing plate to match your tastes, match the roof or body color. Personalization is something we want in all our products.

Thanks

Edit.

Nice pink ;)

True, but those looking to cram in another 4" pair, this is a great spot.

As far as creating a system, the LC is a pain in the ass. Nothing is off the shelf, it's either an oddball size and super shallow speaker.
