It's official, I just dug out all the camping gear from the buried corner in the guest room closet. When I stop sneezing I may clean some of it up. I am starting to get psyched for this trip.

I think I do well above my part to stimulate the economy. Please tell me I am not the only one that buys new gear for the first trip of the year
ok everyone forgive me but I am having issues with my email so I will post this here...
I have plenty of things to bring should we need anything, but....I a not driving and may have limited space to bring things.
that being said I have a 2in hitch mounted 2x5' rack that can be used (good for fuel tanks and such)., I don't know if Jim has the hitch or need for this.
tell me what I should bring , I have....
2 white gas lanterns ( I avoid using the bug beacons)
a coleman campstove and fuel
a box ful of campfire cooking pots/pans/coffeepot/plates
chainsaw/fuel
cordless power tools/3 batteries and charger/inverter
plenty of tarps (no poles, but may use saplings if needed) a 16x20 for a community spot if it rains
2 30' snatchstraps, and a few tow chains (about 50pounds worth)
a 5 gallon commercial grade insulated beverage container, and 4 other 5 gal water jugs ( might taste a little like salt)
2 empty 5 gal fuel jugs, 3 smaller ones
2 hammocks
many sleeping bags
I also have plenty of deadwood in my yard but maybe not the means to transport much (some is funky/punky cut logs, not much for good hardwood but burnable)
what else do we need that I might have forgotten about?
My first trip ever of this type, so a lot of new smelling parts for me too. Generator to power: in-tent HVAC system, mobile espresso/capuccino machine, DirectTV dish, 52" LCD, Microwave, and surround sound system. Leaving Lay-z-boy at home.
All right Dave! I am too, doing dry run tomorrow with truck loaded up, see what rattles.
