As you might have seen in Brian's thread for the June trip, given the popularity of the trip and our experience last year with 9 trucks, he and I decided to open up each of the trips to a total of 9 trucks.
As Brian said in his post, limiting the number of trucks helps with the entry into Hurricane Creek and there are limited places the width of 2 vehicles on much of the trails, meaning if we were to meet another truck headed the opposite way they might have to back up the curvy trail for a while to find a spot where we could safely pass. Additionally, there are no guaranteed campsites. Getting 9 trucks together in a forest with limited cleared areas can be challenging. Even with as few as 9 trucks, the group might have to be split up between 2-3 areas as much as a few miles apart.
The first post has been updated to reflect the new cap at 9 trucks. Hopefully Jason Free will be able to lead a third trip in August so that even more of our members will be able to participate.

The weekend of the 29th is the UORTC/BiG Creek Adventure training session.
The wife's birthday is the weekend of the 8th and we'll be driving back from the Great White North 8/1-8/2.
SOOOO...that leaves the weekends of 8/15-16, or 8/22-23 for me.
I suppose we should have a new thread to avoid polluting this one and creating any confusion.
