Putting in the new 80 series non ABS master and city racer booster. Clutch master. Lokar cable.

It’s much easier to add the Lokar cable in with that booster out of the way.

Also , if you use a city racer booster take note of this.

Set the depth of the rod on the booster to the new master and I’m about to bench bleed the master and pop it in place

Nolen, does this truck still have drums in the rear?

It does. It’s I’ll be maintaining the OEM
Proportion valve so it should perform the same as the one I’m removing. It’s from a 1992 FJ80 with rear drums.

Next project is to get the LRA tank in so when I get ready to fire this thing up it will have gas

Speaking of gas. It was kind of JTU to only have 12 gallons or so to drain out. It’s 2 years or more old. I think I’ll run it in my zero turn and see if it’s any good

The Wizard will be visiting tomorrow to help me make the Mosley Denso in tank pump fit in the FJ62 hole.

And speaking of hole. You really need an inspection hole/door in the floor of the 60 in case the fuel pump gives you problems.

JTU had a literal kitchen sink gymnasium camp system in the back that I had to remove so I can deal with all that.

Got in touch with him. Will likely just finish up the sending unit mod today and find the spot for the inspection hole and get that done.

He said he can ship the plate Monday so I’ll switch gears and do something else after I get the above done.

I’m also going to clean the area out real good before the LRA goes back in

Given the lower drop of the 105 vs 60 series pitman arm, how did you get the steering stabilizer to fit?
Pics for you.

The last two LRAs I installed were 60 tanks. I was able to decide where I wanted to cut the hole for the fuel pump but with the 60 tank I’m forced to install the pump where the tank tells me.

That’s about dead even and to the passenger side of the old sending unit inspection door.

I went back to my parts 62 to see where the inspection covers were and see that LRA ****ing moved the sending unit hole on the tank to the rear exactly where a major crossmember is. No way to put an inspection Port there.

I thought this would be a cleaner install than cutting a hole in a 60 tank like I have done in the past but I think I’d stick with the 60 LRA.

@cruisermatt is sending me the pump gasket and some other OEM stuff I need and @tmxmotorsports is sending the Tanks Inc/62 adapter.

I sprayed a hose on the Wizard and made him go home. Long day.

Door is getting made

Hopefully they didn't clock the threaded ring for the fuel pump module I make 2 different adapters one for oem 62 tank and one for the long range tank they are clocked different. No worries tho if they are ill send another one out that isn't drilled and tapped so you can get it where it needs to be but hopefully not I haven't had anyone that has gotten one for long range tank tellme otherwise.

Wait they moved the fuel level sending unit hole from the factory location?
They sure as s*** did and it’s dead nuts center of the body rib that goes left/right

They also send filler rod for the extender on the fuel sender that just melts when you tack weld it

Well s*** that makes no sense at all . I recall the the extention rod being thin but I have a Millermatic 130 120 power with .023 wire in it that I used for that and also what I use for sheet metal work

The Wizard was pissed. Ranted and raved all over the place
