After the road trip back to CA from TX was over. Our friends wanted to head to the Big Sur area to camp. This view was awesome and the food was great too. On this trip I found out how bad my brakes really were for my weight. After this trip I knew I had to upgrade my brake pad compound.

Hit up Yosemite. Yosemite is always a great spot to go. Go early.

End up selling my Big Country 4x4 270 awning and my Front Runner roof rack .

Got these Gamiviti rack mounts. Bolted in the base and allowed for the sealant to do its job.

Installed these EBC Brake Rotors and Green Stuff Pads.

Remember how I added those Gamiviti Rack Mounts? I got those towers to mount Alucab Load Bars for an Alucab Gen 3R that I found for a deal on FaceBook Market. The guy bought it, but changed his build direction and ordered a GFC and needed to unload it. At first when he posted it, it was brand new. Then a weekend went by and he used it on a trip. I asked for a discount and got the RTT for 4K.

Are you seriously going to open up (cut) the front fenders and bumper? I'd really like to see someone do that and if full size 35's or even 37's would fit.
Of course one would also have to trim the rear fenders too.

First trip with the new tent was Usal Beach. Tent was awesome (wife and kids slept in it. Not me unfortunately. I slept in the Gazelle). Had to use the Walmart Shower/Toilet room, because no shower tent. I noticed the tent sitting super high, so I eventually addressed that by loosening the towers and putting weight on the tent and retightening.

Purchased an Alucab Shower Awning, because matchy matchy.

Got a matchy matchy Alucab 270 Shadow awning as well .

Installed the Baja Design S8 on the Alucab using an Alucab Load Bar and some Front Runner Light Bar mounts.

Love your build, I follow along on IG. My only question is what is your packing strategy for two kids and all your gear?! I just got a Yakima roof box to help with baby stuff, but two dogs + baby and I'm going to be a tetris master

Normally our son sits up front. Child seat is in the middle of the rear seat. Wife sits to the right of our daughter. To the left of the child seat, I keep recovery gear in the foot well and any extra water. All of our clothes fit in one bag that goes in the left area as well. In the rear cargo, I mounted a Milwaukee packout plate, which I mount a XL Packout that keeps all of our camping kitchen stuff (ingredients, silverware, pots/pans, etc). When we do bring our stove, it can go there as well. There’s not much room for stuff . You’re right, I literally have to play Tetris.

We all fit in the Alucab right now, but I will need to start bringing a 1-2 person tent for myself soon, because my son is getting big, fast. But yes, GX kinda sucks for room .

Or get a iKamper! We love ours! Your whole family would easily fit in the large one and they go up in less than a minute and down in less than 3 minutes. We've timed it.

I like the iKampers. That’s a whole investment of course. I’d have to sell all the Alucab stuff to switch. I like the Alucab setup most especially if I’m by myself or just with one other. It was great in Moab. Less than 1 minute to setup . Break down is easy too.

Went camping at Eagle Lake. Got some snow flakes, but nothing that stuck. First snow fall of 2022 .

Did some shots to mimic Chase Gardner and Herb Z. Came out well I think .
