During the Eagle Lake trip, we found a defect in the Shower Cube. The material was pop riveted so tight, I could open the arms without excessive force and ran into issues where it would pop out of position due to the tension. Alucab had me send back the Shower Cube as they sent me a new Shower Cube.

The snow did not disappoint. The Alucab tent is dual layered and no heater of any sort was needed besides human contact. The kids were not with us on this trip

Received my replacement Alucab Shower Cube and to my surprise, it was the version 2 where they added some features: Top cover that can be rolled when not in use, and a inner window to reach items in the vehicle.

Spent New Years at Pyramid Lake. Passed snow to get there, and it rained most of the time we were there. Luckily the wind knocked most of the water out of our gear by morning, but it was cold!!!

On a drive to work, my belt decided to implode. Root cause was a seized tensioner pulley. An expensive repair as I drove it to a Toyota dealership. I guess it could be worse, I could have driven it to a Lexus dealership…

Found that I had mold on my Alucab Matress, so I had to throw it away, along with the sheet that came with it. So, remember to air out your tents folks. Luckily I had an Exped Duo LW+ that fit perfectly in the Gen 3R. I also had a Flextail laying around for airing up and deflating the Exped.

Had to prep for another day run, because my friend Chris was driving up to visit. Last outing at Sour Grass I had issues with my winch getting kind of tangled, so I pulled the line out and rewound it.
