You don't think that will give you some gnarly bump steer?
Hahah, just got home and holy bumpsteering 80. I wouldn't call it gnarly but it's definitely there! Read a few places that bumpsteer maybe an issue but was going to try it regardless. Going to get a wheel alignment and see if it gets corrected. If not, removing that mount and placing it in the rear.

Haha! I mean it would be a good improvement in handling if you raise the draglink at the knuckle. Maybe you can convince Slee to sell just the passenger side arm from their high steer kit.

Well, because of the newly acquired bump-steer from raising the panhard I decided to go back to the stock location. However since I had already cut off the stock mount, I decided to just make a beefier bracket for the stock location. Was wondering if there are any issues of using the raised bracket I took off the front and install it in the back. No steering in the rear so I don't think I would see any of the same issues up front. If anyone knows for sure, please chime in.

I took the freeway home and got it up to 80mph and it feels good again. I ordered front and rear Whiteline sway bars. Once I get them on I will make quick disconnects for both front and rear.

Went to Death Valley this last weekend with the Waywegos 4x4 Club. I would like to give a big thanks to @Deathvalleypaul who had organized 3 days of trails and I have to say the scenery was breathtaking. The cruiser did great although it guzzled $250 of fuel for the weekend. Mostly because the fuel up there cost $4.50 a gallon:bang:. Camped out at the Shoshone park and visited a few mines and ghost towns during the trail runs. Last minute things I had to get to literally a day before going was finding a spare 37" tire and installing a radio. Luckily I found a whole set of used Procomp MT2 with 60% thread for cheap locally and mounted one on a set of TRD wheels I had at the shop. Next I installed my first radio which was a Yaesu FT-8900R in the glove and got to chatter with the rest of the group. Got to play in the mud a little and drink some . Pretty much a perfect weekend. Anyways, on to the pics...

Wow...beautiful! I'll be there this spring!
It truly was, if you want to grab one of the best filet's ever, go to Steaks and Beer right next to Death Valley Brewing in Tecopa. I highly recommend it.

Finally figured out the hood vents which compliment the hood lines. I had one of my vendors cut a couple different sizes and here is what worked. They are made of steel and powder coated. The louvers are adjustable, just pull on the tabs to get the desired opening size. I am planning on selling them separately for the center or side vents only. I have 2 different sizes made. Please PM me if anyone is interested.
Excuse the photos, car hasn't been washed in months.

Posting to just document maintenance. Replacing Valve Cover Gasket Set & Plugs, PCV Valve & Breather Hoses.
Repainted the Valve Cover to match the armor. It's not fun unless you get some new color :p

Also installed a Double Cardan Front DS. Completely got rid of the loud metal grinding noises I was getting when letting of the accelerator. Drives like a Prius now :smokin:

Finally had a chance to get out and enjoy the 80. My buddy brought out the bus which we've been working on and off for the past couple years. It has the 7.3L Turbo Deisel which just sounds monstrous and climbs up anything with little throttle. My uncles also brought out his new Gladiator for some pinstriping. Kept both Whiteline HD Sway Bars connected which produced a lot of 3 wheel fun.

What lift is currently on your rig?

Looks like a fun day in the 80. And I like your friends Van if you can't tell by my avatar. I wish I never sold it but you can't keep them all.
