Got the tank in with the pumps with plenty of room to spare. I might end up ordering some air horns for the annoying prius drivers.

Very nice job!

Nice choices on the rear bumper tweaks[/QU[/QUOTE

The color look really good on your Bumper. Black bumpers are right out of the 80's era along with Disco

Thanks, going to be taking it to Big Bear within a couple weeks. Maybe check out John Bull Trail since they are getting a lot of snow these last couple of weeks.

Lol, couldn't agree more, especially on a black truck.

Been a little while since I have done any other additions to the 80. Just started building an on-board air setup with two Viair pumps I had laying around and added a 9 gallon tank to fill up quickly.

The tank looks like the 21/2 gallon tank that I installed in all most the same the same spot. Are you sure it's 9 gallons?
Your garage looks well equipped, wish I had a lift like that !!!!!!!!!!!

Found where I got it from, it's a 5 Gallon tank, made in the US.
5 Gallon Black Steel Tank

I got it confused with the other tank I purchased as well for an air ride system for my '50 F1.

Before heading out to Big Bear this weekend for some wheeling fun in the snow, checked off a few other items that were on my to do list.
So far I replaced the rear rotors & pads, engine oil, front & rear diff fluids, transfer case fluid, and transmission fluid. Front and rear diff plugs had some small shavings on them. Repainted the shift selector handle and 4H/4L knob with grey color ro match the center console.
Also finished up with the rear USB ports and Volt Gauge. OBA is all done with hose connection to fill up tires and connected 3 train horns.

Diff plug is a little fuzzy, but that might be the first time the oil has ever been changed. Lol

I would to another oil change in 5 or 10K just to see how it goes and kinda slow flush ..

Yeah, I got to try that and see what I find or hopefully don't find.

After almost exactly a year of owning this 80 I finally got off pavement. Went up to Big Bear for a few days and did some snow boarding and wheeling. Unfortunately most the trails were closed due to heavy snowfall they had last week. Saw a total of 5 trucks the entire day and had a G Wagon, Heep, and a Defender follow me up one leg of the trail. Had a blast and got to see some great views from the top at nearly 9000ft were there was what I believe an old gold mine entrance. The truck handled great and plowed through a few deep areas with very little throttle. Glad I threw in the mats since they definitely did their part containing the mud.

I recognize that rig as well. Those sliders gave it away. Can't remember his name. He's out in the OC right off the beach. Has a really nice built 100. Got the tires that are on my 100 now from him. Good guy and a sweet 80. I was eyeballing that 80 for me. I guess I was beat to the punch.
Thanks BHicks all for the kind comments! Really miss the 80 but do love my 100!

Had an hour to kill this afternoon, so put together a quick video of last months trip to Big Bear :steer:
Don't mind the music :p

Finally got around to tinting all the windows before the scorching heat begins. Used 20% all around and used 70% film for the windshield. I also think I got a pretty good match for the front windows when compared to the factory silver mirror tint found on all the rear windows. I used two films on top of each other, one was a silver mirror type and the other your standard smoke tint. Together it gave the same effect as the rear glass.
