Have you lit up any of those cosco's yet? I haven't seen them personally, only in pics from other forums, but you can never really tell from that. I'd like to hear your opinion of them when you get some T8's and can put them side by side.
Haven't. The W wall of the shop will have a 4' wide walkway halfway up the 16' wall...these 4 will be used as lighting over work tables/toolboxes/etc. Those are "most likely" to be on constantly when I'm out there.

I "think" the four E wall wall T8's will be positioned on the wall (about 14' up). The four W wall T8's will be positioned on the ceiling, 4' from the outside wall (ie: at the front edge of the walkway) - easy bulb changing that way. I may also do some "front" facing T8's on the walkway face, since that side is where any projects will be located.

Two 56" ceiling fans to move air and help keep it cool.

Month away for all that stuff to get figured out....have a few forum members passing thru in the coming weeks, so will be getting ideas as I go.

And you should be getting free labor from those passing thru as well, at least 4 hours per day!

@smtyblt arrived today from VA, and @Waggoner5 stopped thru...Cam is set up in a guest room for an extended visit...and yes, he WILL be busy while he's here ;)

You're going to make him earn that gold star I hope!

From Costco website
Lumen output per fixture 4K 3700 lumens
Power consumption 38W
Life 50,000 hour
On line price $25/3700 lumens $.00675/lumen
3 hours @ 200 days 19.2KWH/yr

GE T8 41k CRI 80 2725 lumens x 2 = 5450 lumens
Power consumption 32W/lamp 64W total 2 lamp
Life 20,000 3hr starts
Life 30,000 12hr starts
Smart shopper price $25/5450 lumens $.00458/lumen
3 hours @ 200 days 38.4KWH/yr

Power saving annually based on 3 hours @ 200 days
38.4 - 19.2 = 19.2KWH/yr

Utah average KWH cost $.08

19.2 * $.12 = $1.53 yearly saving with LED per 4' 2 lamp fixture with 35% less lumen output

8' T-8 41K lumen output 5130 considering lower lumen/ft output and higher lamp cost per foot again makes the use of 2 4' T-8 a better value than one 8' T-8

Other things to consider
Replacement cost of replacement lamp
Costco LED fixture cannot be used to junction wiring net higher wiring cost

Overall Winner 4' T-8

Wow Phil, did not realize the consumption savings was so low! Glad I found that load of T8's for free!

Stucco done, doors in, interior mostly cleared out....Plumber and Electrician should be in next week to finish up...

Tires of parking outside, so rigged up a wood ramp to get the Ram/camper indoors...there is a good reason the door is 14' tall :-)

That camper will last a lifetime stored like that when not in use. Good on ya.

A little stern heavy with that camper ? Looks like it's sitting on the tailgate ?

Looking good, man !

You should build one of those Dan. I am sure your neighbors would be glad to get all those vehicles off your lawn. Thinking you would need a larger unit than what Brian built :D

Nice Job Brian. How big a garage does the house come with?

House had a 3.5 attached...Heather can fit her FJ62 and GX470 and my Ram can take the 3rd stall. Shop needs to fit the camper, FZJ80, BJ74, Teryx4 and Wildcat...with space for visitors needing a quick fix :) (right now, @smtyblt has his FJ40/trailer parked here, and I anticipate occasional storage for @Waggoner5 junk too)

What makes you think I have a lawn?
