Merry Christmas to all of my Mud brothers and sisters!

Well after 5 days of being with my family and no shop time, I got back to work yesterday. I started building the mezzanine wall. Today I finished the wall. Since I still had materials on hand I finished the stairwell wall, inside and out. There are only 5 boards remaining from the last truck load of salvage materials.

I was in the shop early yesterday. Nothing picture worthy for the day. I cleaned around my work area. There was about 15 gallons of sawdust under the bench. I hung the electrical boxes for lighting in the cave and under the mezzanine. Then I drilled the wire runs. This view greeted me on my way to the shop.

Very much so, thanks!

I drilled more holes and pulled wire today. I had two corners that I had to drill two sides at 90 degrees to get the wire through. It was an interesting challenge. Lucky me each corner had to have two runs pulled through them! I’m glad to have this task behind me. But now the work area, man cave and new mezzanine lights are ready for their devices to be installed.

This is all that’s left of my second 250’ roll of wire. About 3’ 🤷🏻‍♂️

I am in for a sleep over. Say when.

Happy New Year my Mud brothers and sisters! I hope your 2023 will be blessed with family, friends, love, joy and peace.

I hung all of the sheet metal in the ceiling of the work area under the mezzanine and then I installed three 8’ led fixtures.

My helpers assumed more of a supervisory roll today.

Yesterday I returned home in time to make a trip to the lumberyard. I needed 1x4 and 1x6 material to finish the trim work. Today I stained all of that material. Then I hung a light fixture in the mezzanine. After that I finished installing trim in the work area under the mezzanine. Then I started moving items into the work area.

You showed me that air compressor line last fall and now that it’s up and running…WORTH EVERY PENNY and the time to do it right. Yours looks great. Out of the 100’ roll I have none left except for 4-5 cut off scraps 4” long

Happy to help sir! I’m glad you’re enjoying a job well done. Be careful with that lift assembly.

gee, it makes the garage look so big !!……..Happy Birthday

I have started working on moving stuff around in the shop. I emptied two shelving units, in preparation to move them upstairs. I knew they were too heavy for me to handle by myself, so I asked my neighbor to lend a hand. It’s too heavy for the two of us. These shelves are 6’x4’x18” and weigh about 140 lbs. Plan B is to disassemble them for relocation. Each shelf has 80 nuts and bolts. There are 5 shelving units. That’s 400 nuts and bolts to remove and then reinstall. 😅 The first two have been disassembled and relocated awaiting reassembly.

This afternoon the yard was dry enough to retrieve the bench from the garage on the house. I emptied it and loaded it along everything that was on or around it into the 68’. Now it’s waiting to be unloaded and set in the new location.

I have 99% of my …….stuff moved up stairs. The bench is setup but was almost instantly covered up. I did weigh the parts of one of the shelves, total weight is 150 lbs.
