I took off early for Ft Stockton making myself familiar with the adaptive Cruise

I’d like to say my first stop was Rudy’s BBQ bit the 200 gets just as crappy gas mileage as my other Cruisers so Arlington was my second stop.

I turned south to traverse the Hill Country on state highways for the second 400 mile leg of the trip View attachment 2721671

There is a new farm in Iraan

I had a few miles of I10 at the end of the day as I approached Ft Stockton I decided to try to find the speed limiter on this thing.

It’s somewhere north of 118 mph. Never found it
Any rubbing issues with the Toyo at3 285/65/18s with the stock suspension? Thx!

What’s your suspension set up? Looks stock, and these are with 295s??
Yes 295s

Suspension is a Dobinsons MRR. It sits pretty low and even but it's got a lot of weight on it

The Whale fired up nicely yesterday and we beat feet to Flagstaff. Plan was to camp but it was dark and snowing so we got a cool old Motel

We got up early and hit the local burritto joint and then blasted up to the North Rim area.

The paved drive on this leg is pretty awesome. Very scenic. At mile 140 we hit the dirt

House Rock Valley trail was great. Very low use. Narrow. Lots of mule deer and elevation change. Took us to Jacob Lake where we gassed up and regrouped.

The trail climbs to 8500' where it started wet snowing on us.

The north rim visitors center is still closed so they have Hwy 67 shut down but we jumped into the Kaibab forest and made our way over to Fire Point.

We had to work our way over to Ryan and then south. We picked some good two track and made it. Very very muddy.

It's raining and snowing here tonight and going to 30 so we eased back up to Jacob Lake and grabbed a Motel room.

Tomorrow we head into Utah

We went from Page to Monument Valley and rode through. It was a bit of a zoo since we have not seen very many people to this point

Watching the idiots run out in the road to take the Forest Gump picture was nuts

We left Valley of the Gods and went up Highway 261 that was absolutely unreal.

From there we went to Natural Bridges National Monument

Up and out of Elephant Hill. Hell of a climb out. Used the turn brake thing and Crawl and I only had to reverse once.

Picked up a hot hiker that was gassed and she rode up with me. She'd never been on rocks. She loved it.

We hit Lockhart Basin and peeled out.

We took two pretty long side trails and made it to our camp almost at the north end by sunset.

Guide book says 2 days. We did it in 5 hours.

The 200 is a total hammer out here

I would love to follow these routes. Looks like a great trip.

I have it all on GAIA. I'll link the routes later with some suggestions
