Ok, time for another update. A lot has happened in the last 48 hours.
I used my patented "Tub Hoist-o-matic 2000" to lift the tub off the body dolly and raised it high enough to slide the frame under.
Yay:
I got the frame cleaned off as it's been sitting for several months:
...lined it up, rolled it back and got it in position:
Then, I lowered it down, one strap at a time, inch by inch, until it was gently set on the mounts:
This method is very slow but is the best way I know of to position a tub with one person.
In the photo, you can see that when I pulled the frame from the tub last time, I didn't disconnect any of the clutch or brake lines... I just hung the master cylinders with coat hangers and that made reconnecting everything very clean and tidy. I really didn't want to mess with hydraulic fluid around my 48 hour old paint:
I didn't take any photos of the harness, but I can say from the experience that using harness tape (pressure sensitive) over standard adhesive backed electrical tape was a really good decision. It makes the harness much more pliable and made installation a lot easier than it would have otherwise been.
I also got the pedal cluster mounted up too:
Look how nice and tidy my fuse and relay panel look!!!!
Oh Man! This is getting exciting!
