WIll the truck not run with this blocked? If so ill order it from MANAFRE asap. I bought the set from cruiserparts.net. Assumed I didn't need that pipe b/c their version didnt include that pipe. as for EGR, I blocked the EGR with the other plate they sent me.
I assume you are talking about the pcv (positive crankcase ventilation) and not having the hose connected to the intake. The intake draws vacuum from the crankcase to pull gases out. The pcv valve opens and closes. I think it is like a check valve just making sure things go in only one direction. Once the gases are pulled into the intake they are reintroduced to the cylinders to burn more of the gases. If you disconnect it you should have a filter or breather in place where the pcv valve sits so that it can vent to atmosphere like older engines. If you just keep the valve there it may not open without vacuum. If the crankcase can't vent you will have issues with churning oil, gases putting slight pressure on gaskets and bearing also valve guides causing leaks.

Ordered this. Side note::
I noticed the exhuast pipes are corroding and their gaskets are falling apart (both the vertcile inside of a metal passageway, and the one underneath the car have bad gaskets and at least one of them is rotten.

Ayone have part #s for the filler gasket and hose, and the lower hose to tank with gasket? <3

For reference ....check out this schematic,

call out the part numbers for the gaskets you are talking about. FYI, the front pipe (17410) is informally called the "downpipe". Their are two types of gaskets...the one between the exhaust manifold and the downpipe pictured here:

and the one between the exhaust pipe and the cat flanges:

where does the bottom gasket go to? I've got the top one.

There are flanges at the factory CAT thats where they go. Most vehicles by now have replaced their toasted factory cat ....if you're like mine the newer cat is welded on or clamped onto the exhaust pipe and there is NO gassket.

Roger that

I'm just glad that I will not have to shoot some degenerate for trying to steal my cat. I do believe that it runs cleaner now since the desmog but the MPG says it isn't clean with an F engine.

What do you mean not clean with an F Engine?

I've been considering putting on a fake cat so I can visit California. Then again I can't shoot the said degenerate because California is a police state on gun control amongst other things. 😂

I used to be a political then I bought a land cruiser... now I fight smog rules like William Wallace rebelling against the English...🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

PS if they try to take my cruiser b.c of no cat im breaking it via kilt, blue paint and battle axe

What you mean “isn’t clean with an f engine?”

Just like my mind...
Thank you

that's ok ,

i hope this better explains below :)

- so ........

- your Pre-Smog Pig , a Post-Smog Pig's are classified as a WG ( WAGON ) per. @Spike Strip Jr. MOD. & and 1st ever MUD SMOG CZAR

.
- the Kaliforna-Kroud Sporty-40 trust fund types drive what SMOG CZAR Spike classifies MPV ( Multi Purpose Vehicle )

- these fall under 2 different Kalifornia Klean-Air Act. Emissions Control SMOG-CZAR Standards .....

- this will explain why a FJ40 has both a FEDERAL or California under hood engine decal , and a FJ55 would not
- the FJ60 falls under the WG classification also ,

- however , the FJ62 does not due to the
3F-E having a T.C.C.S.- ECU & EFI , so the FED ( FEDERAL ) or CAL ( Kalifornia ) SMOG CZAR decries apply here to all the FJ62 ..

Here , details that matter most FJ60 2F 8/80-9/87 SMOG Emissions Vacuum and System Circuits Routing Diagram Reproduktion Decal Sticker .....

- 3-M heat press vinyl , glossy glossy gets for long term goodness & on-board , in-hand without having to use either hands

- comes as a 2pc set / pair of 2 decals so one is affixed under the hood , and then the other gets applied directly to the inside last page of your factory owners manual , exactly like TOYOTA intended , this decal is OEM size spec'd to fit perfectly Length and Width same as the owner's manual minus a border of free-space in single millimeters all around .....

- this is one of the 2 roadmaps , needed to de-smog a FJ40 / FJ40 2F , in addition to the other one 1981 & or 1985 RED 2F Emissions stand alone FSM

Does anyone know where the tube on the side of the engine cover engine attatches to, with typical desmog?

Final Push today-- forgive me for hijacking this thread..

Im missing this spring, is there anyhting else I can use tempporarily?

Where does it end tho? on the pipe under the carb? if so, i thought this was deleted?
I plumbed mine the intake manifold. It can go to the breather but better on a strong vacuum. Blowby can create pressure in the crankcase robbing you of power while pushing oil through old gaskets. Make sure your oil dip stick is sealing or you will have a vacuum leak.

I T'd mine into the purge on the charcoal canister then to one of the brass fittings on the intake.
