I don’t miss the bears with trash. Daughter left garage door open one time after putting her bike up. Bear opened freezer and fridge door and pulled crap put then was a pain to get out of the garage.

Favorite story is when neighbor called me early in morning saying wife left her doors open on the Escalade. Turns out a bear opens doors and rummaged around but hardly did any damage except few claw marks.
I know a guy that scored a Tundra for cheap because a bear got in but he couldn’t get out.
The bear messed up the interior a little while exploring his options…

While waiting on some small parts for Bonnie so I can get her back on road I took my beloved 79 F150 to friends shop to have its tranny, rear main seal, rear differential leaks all fixed. Of course it opened Pandora’s box. This from my buddy.

HAPPPY WEDNESDAY!

Lots of progress on your truck this week.

Rear-
all bearings and seals
Posi unit
Yoke
Brake wheel cylinders and hardware
Front-
Axle seals
Axle u-joints
Wheel bearings
Ball joints
Transmission-
Serviced with new fluid and filter
(Leaking around pan)
Engine torn down to do oil pan and noticed a very worn timing chain.

Dallas (great guy who helped Delancy immensely) just called. Lots of wear on Cam, didn’t think rear main seal would work. Possibly explains the slop in timing chain.

So it looks like Orange Ford out of commission for awhile. Dallas doesn’t trust any local engine builders so gonna send it off to Jasper and have them rebuild the 351 modified inside it.

RIP temporarily…

Hmmm 🧐 you seem to have a thing for reds….don't blame you though…besides mustard yellow, rustic green and reds….all my personal favorites

Oh quite the opposite sir, Delancy’s pig is only red I’ve owned. The Ford is kinda a rarity. It’s Ford coral paint code. I forgot how many were painted Coral in this model that year but it wasn’t a bunch.

My Alma mater is orange so I go with orange any chance I can! New pig is going to be “punkin metallic” which is what the Jeeps are a few years ago. Not sure if they are still using it.

Having front pond rebuilt which wife and I are super stoked about. Gonna be pretty special when it’s done!!

Our property resides in creek county where the Muscogee (creek) Indians lived in the mid 800 to present.

The farm was Originally deeded to Minnie Mae Moore, a creek Indian, in 1906 prior to Oklahoma statehood.

Walking on edge of dirt work yesterday I found this small piece of turquoise. No clue if it’s even that old but cool nonetheless. Gonna dig through topsoil tomorrow and see what I can find.

Ironically while about to start walking a field pheasant hunting a couple weeks ago I looked down and found an arrowhead.

@greenbeast that is very cool!! My son graduated college with a degree in Archeology. Had a great job going to dig for Native American artifacts in places other companies wanted to build things on. They did a ton of sifting and had some remarkable ground penetrating radar stuff. Lots of early American settlement pieces from privy’s and trash dumps in the late 1700’s thru 1800’s. This company flew him to states all over the USA for these projects, pay was fabulous, he could fly home every 2 weeks on 30 day or more assignments and amazing benefits.

Then he meets a girl…done, ‘nuff said.

Shold be nice, closer to your home, you have an amazing piece of real estate. Oklahoma surprised me how beautiful it is. Enjoy it
I’ll give it my best to enjoy!!

Not worth another thread but anyone have recommendations on a decent creeper? My cheap flat one is taking it toll on my back.

Was a good day, hung with my dad and son, visited 2 model train stores and scored some good deals on stuff we totally didn’t need.

My splurge was a Hudson:

This looks like a pretty major pond project! The ducks are going to be psyched!
