78"

There is no way to tell you. What type of lift do you have, SOA or SUA? Fenders trimmed? Spacers? Pavement queen or will she be flexed? Are you planning on some crazy subframe drop monster truck lift?

Use the Search function and you will find a good bit of info.

But, for a starting point, appx 3" lift = 33" tires, SOA = 35-37" tires, trim your fenders and you'll get a bit more room, don't drive off road (no flex) and you won't have to worry as much about rubbing.

5" lift Sua, running 35's

Stock can do 31s, 2 1/2" lift fits 33s, 4" lift is good for 35-36s, SOA with stock springs is around 35-37 all assuming a relatively uncut body. Tub and extend the rear wheel arches, build some high fenders, get a little creative and you can fit a 35-37 with almost no lift.

They make up to size "ah hell no" in a 15" rim.

You can put 31 x 10.50 x 15's with no lift. The 31 x 9.5 x 15 will fit the stock wheels perfectly if you can find them and don't mind paying the price. The tire shops will tell you that the 10.50's won't fit that wheel and some will refuse to put them on the stock wheels because they are only about 5 3/4"s but they will fit!

I don't think that we've ever had this question before

Thanks to all

The rig is stock except the cut (opened up) rear fender wells. I just picked up a set of 31x10.5x15's from a buddy for free. The ole' boy doing the engine swaqp for me is going to mount and balance prior to pick up (hopefully next week). I am not a fan of lifts because i want actual underside clearance and am to cheap to do it right. So, i opt for the larger (taller tire) to achieve the best results i can. With the rig coming home soon, i will post some pics and am sure i will have more questions. I am having a pre 84 chev 350 with rv cam and hei put in it, new breaks/lines, bearings and general once over. Traded a 79 camaro with 383 stroker for the motor and work being done. Thanks again, rob

Lift=clearance for larger tires= more "actual underside clearance" doesn't it, or am I nuts?
