Hey Sved

Funnily enough I tried to get it to work again today, I can only get it to buzz when the dash lights are on. I tried several combinations again, but it won't work.

I think it's a no go:bang:

I, you've probably tried this, but if not its worth 10 seconds of your time... Red wire to one of the headlamp fuses and the black wire to the gauges fuse.. Are you 24V, if so, I've read running the black wire to the glow fuse works..

Yeah mine 12 volt and I tried both of those, plus a few others, I've never had an issue with leaving the lights on, so no  what's going on

Fitted my $40 HID 9 inch spotties today :steer:

Sometimes it's just the simple things that set it off

My alarm and turbo timer turned up today, so it'll be a busy weekend

you know every time someone tries to convince me to switch to the round eyes, I look at your rig and i remember how 4 eyes are just as sexy. You're making me want to get a paint job badly.

the spot lights look good, post up a picture of them at night.

Thank guys, no worries will do, I'm interested to see what they are like at night as well

Im interested to know how you got LED spot lights for 40 bucks!!!!!

Hey Strick

eBay is your friend, I was on eBay looking for some quality spotties and I checked out 9 inch HID spot lights ending soonest and noticed there were a few going and people were paying 50-70 dollars for these, so I played the auction game and won, first time $41 and second time $45 :bounce::bounce2:

they are HID not LED

lookig good spud!

Thanks for the support Matt, really appreciated and the correction :D

So today I wired up the spotties, god I hate the negative whatsy on Toyotas :bang:

The good thing though, I wired the activation through one of the wires on the stork and now when I turn the ignition off the spotties go off, so they only work with the engine running:grinpimp::cheers:

Spot on mate, going to start working out how to mount the intercooler this weekend, everything should hopefully be straight forward except the intake manifold which hopefully crossing my fingers I will sort that easily:D

You and me both, the one I have in my truck is brown, my interior is grey,:bang: also the drivers window only works on automatic all the way or all the way down, no in between.

They're aftermarket ones on eBay here for $220, also brown, I also saw one advertised on the classifieds here, but the postage was too expensive from America to here.

I'm going to look at a Sahara one on the weekend, it's different to the GX model, so hopefully that will work correctly.

Best of luck mate

 Spudman

You might have some luck here

Ok today, firstly had to go and borrow a 12 ton forklift so I could pickup my donor car, Halls Creek is a very small town and everyone knows everyone, so driving a forklift with a full 60 series 10 kilometres is no big deal, taking up both lanes :steer:

This is my first time reading this thread. I just gotta say, I would pay $5 to see a video of what you describe here :D

Really nice work on the cruiser, especially the body work!
