This morning I finished filling the roof, rubbed it down and sprayed it

It came up pretty good, all the rust is now gone:eek:

My mate turned up with his GU Patrol and gave me back me indicators and park lights for me bull bar because he couldn't be bothered fitting them:bang:

So I thought I'd put them to good use on my truck

 Spudman

Mines coming along well mate, is all go at the moment doing alot to it. Should put a thread up actually!

Looking good, good to see the little details not being over looked

Yes mate, you should start a thread, you have one nice cruiser there and we want you to show it off :D

Everyday I walk around my cruiser just looking and the little things pop up and I just drop everything and do the little things before I forget

Didn't get anything done to the truck today, instead I hooked up my old donor vehicle to a A frame and towed it 15k's out of town to its resting yard, then I backed the other 12HT out of the driveway and had a good clean up.

Still waiting for my wheel nuts to turn up so I can take it for a drive :)

The anti slip tape arrived today, so I thought I'd fit it straight after work

Came up real nice, very happy:clap:

I decided to unbolt the upper tailgate today, I noticed a couple of tiny rust spots just near the rubber around the window :bang:

Plus the paint was a bit faded anyway so I thought I'd rub it back, fix the rust spots and respray it

It's gotta look perfect, the Turbo sticker got to go on there :D

Always something to do:cheers:

Had a couple of hours to kill after work, so I put filler on the old surface rust spots, rubbed it back and then painted it with undercoat.

Then I just had enough time to rub the undercoat back and spray it red:clap:

I've been told my wheel nuts will be here from America on Thursday, so there's a chance I might be driving it on the weekend :bounce::bounce2::bounce::bounce2:

Hi Spudman,

Don't tell me you're gonna drive without the intercooler? Or is that project put on halt temporarily?

Greetings

Hey Sved, how are you mate.

It's a case of I need to get it out of the driveway and down to the workshop so I can get a second opinion on where/how to install it.

It's definitely going to happen very shortly, I just want to try all the new suspension and stuff and see if it makes a difference :D

I just ordered a turbo timer immobiliser alarm for it, I'm against all this extra wiring but I have to protect my investment:steer:

I've also ordered all the gear for the drawers, so there'll be a few rolling projects going on:cheers:

GREETINGS Spudman,

Been A While Since I've Been On Here, And Just Been Catching Up On All The Work You've Been Doing - Top Effort Mate, Looking Real Good Now.

Great Idea With The Bonnet Struts!

Cheers Michael

Apologies to everyone for the loss of photos, bit a glitch with photobucket.com, hopefully I've sorted the problem and they should be back soon.

Regards

Spudman

Thanks for comments Bouncy :) yeah it all coming along nicely, I was very happy how the bonnet struts fitted considering the 60 never had them from factory

Just about ready for drive

My wheel nuts arrived today, so I fitted the wheel spacers and tightened them up to 80lbs, I'll check them again in a week and retighten. So now I've got photos again here's a couple with the front wheels on

So that's the sneak peak, I'll save the full photos until I've detailed it :grinpimp:

I also finished the upper tailgate today, sprayed it with clear coat and I'll be reinstalling it tomorrow.

Also put the all important sticker on it

Gotta luv it! :grinpimp:

When I took the upper tailgate off, it came so easy, no scratches etc. etc.

Well today I reinstalled the tailgate basically the reverse of the way I took it off, and bugger me scratched the new paint across the top:bang::censor:

Couldn't believe it, so disappointed, anyway I rubbed it back and resprayed it, so all good :D

Lesson learnt! Be More Bloody Careful!

Looking good spud! I've got crazy envy of that turbo decal but alas I'm hot on the heels of a 61 as we speak.

WTF kind of wheel nuts did you need that you had to get them from the states? For future reference: http://www.niceproducts.com.au

Thanks mate.

Hey when will we see this beast you're looking at :D

Due to my location, a lot of things I have to buy on the internet, as I needed special type of nuts, the only ones I could find were in packs of 20 and you had to buy 2X packs :bang:

So I found these in America

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/190827456499?

My wheel nuts go right inside the wheel, not your average alloy rim

I'm not sure if it will come off yet so I'm trying to play it down a bit.

Let me know if you need anything from the big smoke and I can pick it up and send it to ya. I'm always running around town.

Thanks mate, I just might take you up on that offer some day soon:D, I will await patiently for your result :steer:

Well today I wired up 2 kill switches, fxxxem I say, if they want it they'll have to work hard for it :grinpimp:
