Hey Michael, thanks for the support mate

Everything is still moving on, I'm just in the process of removing parts from my 2 donor vehicles that I will be putting on my truck.

I have to wait a couple of weeks to get some welding done and then it will be full steam ahead

Today I've been removing the power windows and central locking from all the doors, I checked everything first and it all works, now that's a bonus

I also took all the windows out as mine have rusted channels, all the channels are good except the drivers :bang: the one I really wanted. The windows come out so easy, once you workout to remove that little bolt:doh:

I also removed all the wiring in the doors, so I'm hoping Mr Toyota has put the wiring already in my truck as sometimes they do :p

So no pics today, everyone knows what a door looks like :grinpimp:

No work on the truck today, I have been searching for some electric mirrors, I went out to a few old wrecks today and nothing, searched eBay nothing. I found a web site in America that sells them for $460 and that's U.S, it's just unbelievable if I wanted electric mirrors for an 80 series, they're everywhere.

So I might have to put that project on hold for a while, at least I've got the switch :)

Oh and by the way, I nearly forgot I found the rest of the Sahara today

So mystery solved

Dang Spudman, wish we could find deals like that in the States. Seems like you guys have an abundant supply of some good stuff at reasonable prices. Any progress on the GRUB. Will be starting on the shackle reversal later on this week and then the SOA. Then onto more body work. Your doing a great job.

There wouldn't be a spare drivers side dash vent in one if those thing you've got there would there? Mine's shagged and I hate looking at it.

It's a bit stiff, but all looks intact, so how do I get it out

Hey Bouncy, I'm seriously thinking the same about that Sahara :D

Well today I pulled out the window and the manual window winder and door lock, and changed them over to the electric setup, only got the front passenger one done before it started getting dark.

So with taking the windows out I have to take off the chrome strip on the door and oh wow more :censor: rust :bang:

All the other doors look ok though, if it weren't a Toyota we'd call them rust buckets

push one side in, and it will turn sideways, then just pull it out, its just a press fit into the cup

If you want the vents out without breaking them, you will have to remove the whole dash pad. They are held into place with two or three small screws from the inside. With age they get brittle and pulling on them to get them out of the holders is hard without breaking them. Ask me how I know :censor:. Hope that helps you out. I'm looking for some replacements also.

Excellent work! Unbelievable that you have done so much to make your cruiser look great!

By the time you finish yours, mine would be in the mud already. :)

Well spud there's our answer. If you ever get the dash to that state let me know and I'll shell out for it. Don't worry about it until you find you need to deal with the dash being out one day, you've got much more "fun" things to deal with in the mean time.

Thanks bluehawk.

Hey guys thanks for the comments regarding the vents, I've already found a reason to pull the dash apart, I want the facia off it, as the glow plug light cover looks like it's been poked with a screw driver on mine, I doubt it can be fixed, so there you go, there's my reason and I'll let you know when the vents are out

Hey neixian

I am removing the wiring loom from the doors of my other 12HT and putting it in mine.

Sorry no spare looms

I can't believe how long it's taking me to fit the power windows and power door locks, I spent 3 hours today and only got the left rear door finished,:bang: anyway at least I know what I'm doing now so the right side should be a lot quicker

Well I had a think about which door cards to put back in my truck and ended sticking with the original blue and just cut a hole for the power window switch.

Can anyone tell me where I can get the round plastic caps/lugs that go in the door card where the window winder used to be
