hey, u are missing a lever on the side, check out my build thread toward the end, i am doing heater, i lost same lever u need, i ended up going with a newer heater because i could not find the correct lever. i took pic at posers shop of a truck that has lever u need. u will see it on there, on my phone now or i would post the link for u.

here you go... first pic is heat with part you need....

2nd and 3rd pic is from a newer style heater... these will NOT work with your heater... you need the first style.

apeterson: where'd you get the plastic heater setting piece? I mean the one with the painted def/heat/vent icons?

Hijack off-

I just used tremclad/rustoleum gloss black to paint it.

Thanks-

There's a light above it so you can see where the heater lever's lacation is at night. Just thought I mentioned it if you putting in a older 40.

My friends at SOR sent me the wrong linkage handle %&@!. THanks for the pics apeterson... big help...Anyone got any ideas how to jury rig these flappers without the OEM handle?

I am in the opposite boat, picked up a heater and the lower lever assy is missing, I had my heater powder coated and ready to assy when i realized it was missing. anyone willing to part with the lower lever assy, let me know a price. I have the older style heater lever.
Thanks

heater paint

Back to the original question. Does anyone know the original cover? I have a York AC and would like to do all the same color.

rigging this thing....

I think I actually can fiddle with this and make my own flapper controls. If I thread the flapper hinge and get a knob to screw on I can have two independent flapper controls....if I get desparate and can't find the part I need this is my next move.

Input always welcomed.

Paint

Someone on MUD used this paint and posted it, I picked some up at NAPA and have used it on this 2F V. Cover and my factory center console box... Good Luck

PS Don't let the silver colored lid of the paint can trick ya, the paint looks nothing like that... I'm a little color blind so Im kickin down some pics so you can make up your own mind, trying to help... Dave
