ECU plugs for MT and AT versions of the same year are identical.
ECU part numbers for OBD2 MT trucks are 89661-60340 and 89661-60300. For sale here

Dennis, you talking specifically the 95+? The MT (93/94) ECU 89661-60200 I picked up in Australia last year has a different plug for the 12-pin connector. Pinout is the same, but it uses the wider lances.

does an H151 use a different input shaft per which engine it is mated to? 3F versus 1FZ versus 2UZ
is all the difference in the bellhousing of choice?
or do you need to change the input shaft to go along with the bellhousing for each engine?

Don't think the 3F/3FE ever got the H151. The F series engines got H41/H42/H55 AFAIK.

Not sure if the 1FZ/1HD/2UZ H151 variants had different input shafts, but I assume they did. @Tapage may know, he did a H151 swap into his 1HD powered 80 some years ago.

Yes, i was referring to OBD2 ECU's, hence 95(maybe)/96/97

Sorry, i have no idea about earlier ones. Keep in mind, that the 5spd will work just fine with original auto ECU. The only reason to change it is to keep the CEL off if you live in a nazi emissions state.

FJ80's in non-US markets received H150F.

For those who have done this swap with a part time case (HF1A) can you chime in on driveshaft differences coming form a US spec 1FZ ('96) auto with full time box.

1. Do you only need to change out the rear shaft because the HF1A one will be shorter? Is part number 37110-60600 correct? Front shaft can remain the same as US spec full time case with auto transmission?

2. I noticed in few threads there is a "rear end plate" that was installed to engine block. I can't seem to find any information on this. The FSM shows it in the procedure with a single bolt to secure.

3. Confirmation on part numbers:
a. Clutch: 31250-0W031(supersedes 31250-0W030)
b. Clutch pressure plate: 31210-0W032 (supersedes 31210-0W030)
c. Flywheel: 13405-66030

I believe both DS will need to be modified but not sure on the exact length.

Watching closely - I think I could live with the 1FZ-FE if I had a 5 speed.

I can't answer #1, because i dont know the difference in length of HF1A VS HF2A(V).

As far as #2, you don't HAVE to change the rear end plate. As far as i could see, the only difference on manual vs auto rear end plate is the little opening with a plug on the auto plate that is used to access torque converter bolts. It won't affect anything to have this opening with the manual tranny. I kept the auto plate on my truck when i did the swap and it works fine.

Dennis - Thanks for the reply. The access plug you are referring to is part of the upper oil pan casting on 1FZ. See first image below. The end plate looks like something that is installed before the flywheel. After digging around this part looks specific to 1HDFT and 1HZ plants with MTM. Not applicable to 1FZFE. This explains why no parts diagrams show it.
For those looking for the rear end plate part number: 11355-17010 Looks to be the same part for both 1HDFT and 1HZ.
