Pulled the battery positive cable from 8am until 1pm so we will see if it reset the transmission control module

A Lexus reman that is reportedly all new except for re-use of the external case is $3375

I figured I owe the group an update. Apologies for the delayed reply, but was waiting until I had some run time with it. I bought this 2011 in Jan 2024 and have put 2k miles on it and my kids just drove it 1500 miles to Utah. Seems to be OK.@GXinTx

It had P2714 on the OBD scan when I bought it, but no CEL or other common “symptoms” and was was an otherwise good deal. I had a few other non-transmission issues that I worked through with really good service from Northside Lexus in Houston generously taking care of some old recall items and it seems pretty solid now. The P2714 is still there when I run a scan and will not clear even with battery disconnect.
Just wanted to give an update ~4500 miles after this work below by the PO and it seems to be doing well.
I'm really starting to think a new valve body assembly will do the trick. This is the common denominator I have seen.
FYI for everyone interested, I am ordering a reman valve body off of Ebay having it as well as a installing a transmission cooler installed in mid July. Hoping this does the trick as well and will keep y'all updated. If this seems like a mistake/waste of time let me know!
This was my next step, but I would like to know what is done to them in the remanufacture process though
Anyone able to find oem used valve bodies on eBay? I only find remanufactured

Not sure I'd trust "used" unless I had the skill set and tools to refurbish them myself.
Unless I knew they came out of a low mileage vehicle.

If anyone who speaks transmission language ( I do not at all) wants to call them and give us a common language report on it, he spent 15 minutes on the phone with me talking about the p2714 problem with alot of terms I didn't understand, but he made it seem like he knows more about it than anyone else. He was generous with his knowledge and time.

Given that you have multiple codes over multiple solenoids, I'd at least check the harness. For the 470/A750F the FSM gives a method to check resistance values within the harness. You can check them at the ECM and the connector into the trans, as well as across the harness itself. Or, just replace it anyway as long as you are replacing the solenoids.
Just a suggestion, but I'd 100% do the harness too. Being that the harness us between the OBD2 plug and solenoids it could be contributing to the issues. Adds maybe 30 minutes to the job and it's a <$100 part from the dealer.

Huge thanks to each of you contributing to this thread and those reporting back after each step! This is the farthest I’ve seen a post go on this common problem many of us with 2010-2013s are dealing with.
My hope in starting it was help for anyone and in hope to avoid a full replacement if it was sensors. Ha! We shall see!
Update for us, 1.5 years and still just rocking the sport mode first thing each day In CO. Dang car is a beaut, 113k, 2013 and everything is brought up to date with maintenance, just the dang tranny codes.
Onward!
