Just for reference, I bought my '15 in November 2022 with 109,000 miles. The transmission fluid had never been changed. That month, I dropped the pan and replaced the filter and all the fluid that came with it. In January 2024, I replaced the fluid again. Using a dilution calculator, I guess I replaced around 35% of the original fluid by now.

I've had no issues so far, but then again, I'm still driving around with 65% old fluid.

Replacing the harness on my A750F was not hard and provided several benefits in shift quality. IMO, it's worth trying. My P2759 code was intermittent as well. There were no visual indicators that the old harness had problems.
Do you have a link and price for the harness?

Not for the A760F. I found the A750F harness on the Lexus parts website and ordered it from Partsouq. Any dealer should be able to get it.

Would you happen to have the part number for the A750F wiring harness from your Parsouq order? Easier to cross reference on the 460. - Thanks!

External Neutral/Range switches have been known to fail as well. Not common but I hear about that more than wiring itself on the A760F

This appears to be the GX 460 equivalent wiring harness

My local dealer has it for $57. It also looks like the part was updated in 2019 - which also was the case for my A750F. Regardless, for the low cost and low effort to change (less than 2 hours), it would seem to be worthwhile to replace on a higher-mileage 760F as part of preventative trans maintenance. If it still has problems then it would seem that every low-cost alternative has been exhausted.

Any other people having issues with Sport mode shifting? I've been doing it on cold starts since January of this year with no issues, but concerned it won't last forever based on this thread

Only 1 year in for us. We did a transmission exchange after all the issues. Solenoids checked out fine and everything else. Drives fine after it warms up.

Popping in here to say that Lexus did a solenoid replacement under a powertrain warranty on my 2013 GX460.

I bought it with 177k miles October 2023, I had the trans fluid drained and filled by Lexus of Arlington in January 2024, roughly 182k miles

at 187k miles it popped a P2714 but drove fine still.

brought it to lexus of arlington and they dropped the pan and lexus replaced just a solenoid because there was no shavings or major metal debris in the pan.

I've still got 12k more miles of powertrain coverage from Lexus.

they sold me a 24 month 24k mile powertrain warranty at the time of purchase, one of the best decisions I've ever made.

truck drives and shifts fantastic now, I'm curious to see how to drives over the next few thousand miles and how it drives in the winter.

Glad you got those warranties!

Interesting and awesome in the Solenoid change! Hope that does it.

Just came to check this thread for updates. Hadn’t had a look here since my last post in April, and since then I’ve been driving with the Christmas lights on the dash the whole time. (About 3 months). Sorry to see there hasn’t been any new progress with this issue!

I still start off each morning in sport mode and run through the shifts manually for a few miles every day. (And I drive the truck every day.). Only once did it limit me to the low gears even with the dash always lit up, and a pull over and restart gets it going through all the gears again even though I have a bunch of dash lights which have never gone out in months lol

I’m about 8000 miles now since I first got the codes in December. If I ever need low range I’ll have to stop and clear the codes. This is such a frustrating issue! I haven’t washed the car since April because it’s really killed my love for it. I just feel like it’s a ticking time bomb that will eventually leave me stranded on the side of the road, even though it seems to run and shift fine. I bought the truck thinking it would take me to hell and back for 20 years.

The fact that Lexus hasn’t issued a tech bulletin or some sort of commentary on this now quite common issue is so discouraging 😞 It’s impossible for me to believe they are unaware of the problem at this point.

This was my 5th Toyota/Lexus vehicle and I won’t be buying another.

@BamaPaul

Did you reinitialize your transmission after all the work? Just curious

I tried to reset it through techstream when I replaced the parts in the valve body but the software said it wasn't available to be reset on this model. Has anyone else with techstream been able to do a reset?

A 10-minute battery disconnect should do the same thing. I've also reset the TCM for my A750F using VF Tuner.
