Drove from Nashville this afternoon…. Got to Huntington, WV and crashing here.

Picked up some Bourbon along the way.

Quick note: I made it home safely last night but that was a long ride with a jacked windshield. Thanks to everyone that helped with the speedy winch recovery; that’s what wheeling with a great group is about.

We were having a blast until I wasn’t, lol. I’ll have more commentary later, I’m beat after washing down the truck. I’ll get to kicking open doors and windshields very soon.

We had 2 casualties and 2 major injuries this weekend.
1 broken rear axle

It was a very fun time and GER are wonderful hosts.

Couldn't have asked for better weather this weekend! 1st night was the chilliest, days were comfortable. Sunny the whole time, didn't deal with any of the smoke from the forest fires. It was a solid turn out for just a random trip. We got to cover a fair bit of ground.

The last night GER tried to do a giant bon fire for an event they had on Saturday. We called their bluff

And I guess the chippie contest went sideways after some weird sexual innuendo was insinuated (who thinks like that?) but I do think my rye whiskey was a true contender. If I'm not mistaken Jeff was an ally but I may lose him after he hears me laughing over that RTT shenanigans. In my defense I did stop laughing when I realized gravity + ladder were about to have their way with his Taco door.

Bourbon for the weekend was on point. Had a couple that were new to me and seriously enjoyed them.

Thanks for setting this event up. As always a good bunch of guys and gals. It was good to get out and explore a new to me park. I am bummed about my ignorance and the broken windshield, but I was able to straighten out the frame and now need to find a glass. We had a large selection of rigs and I think everyone found something challenging for them. People from GER were very easy going and willing to help out and make sure we had what we needed. Sounds like I missed some fun leaving Saturday night, but I got a lot done Sunday back in Richmond. Hopefully someone will post the video from trail 5 hill climb!
