Looks rusty in the rockers and the roof, but the frame looks alright. I’m planning on checking it out this week and will report back. Not sure this is the one, but I’ve been wanting a 55 for a long long time.

The frame is hardly ever an issue with 55s. Frames are easy....those body pieces are trouble.

Yeah the doors and rocker look super crusty. I’ll be curious to see how bad the roof really is.
 
Another popped up in college station. Not sure why these are coming out of the woodwork all of a sudden.

The tan one looks much better. Rust could still be hidden, I discovered it hides everywhere on these things. But 1/2 the price or so, and at least looks better. Just be careful about non-refundable deposits or things like that. See it first, bring a strong flashlight, a mirror, a magnet and a beer. :p
 
Unfortunately time is not on my side. I’m in Dallas for a work trip then heading back east for thanksgiving. The soft hunt continues.

I’ll keep an eye on that thread. I just picked up an 80, but I’ve always liked the 55s and have toyed with swapping the two in addition to my 62.
