Thanks guys finished the dr side yesterday and going to get the ps done today. I will probally leave them where they are at now. I really like that it still has the cruiser look. Yea there is no way I would pay someone for body work on a trail rig. I am also a cheap ass. I cant stand to pay people for work that I can do or could learn how to do. Sometimes it pisses the :princess: off but she gets over it unless you don't have a toilet for 4 days that was a little hairy:eek:

I hear ya, my :princess: is like that to exept when I tell her she can order someone when she pays the bill.:grinpimp:

You're doing a grat job on the cruiser so far, love the fenders.

Those fenders look SICK! I do not prefer the strait cut edge of a trimmed fender but need to do something about mine. This still has the classic 40 lines. I love it. Great work. Wish I was capable of making it look that good!

They turned out really good I think. I have both welded filled in with a little putty and the rest of the cruiser ready for primer hopefullly this weekend I can get that done. I am ready to have some color on this thing. On a good note I ran into some cash and the project is full steam ahead, hopeful get this thing running in a month or so the BHCC is getting closer by the day.

I thought I would show some progress so you guys don't think I am sitting on my ass. It is all in primer know and more sanding to go. I thought I was doing a pretty good job sanding and taking my time but that is not the case. Once I started to primer all the little nicks and spots showed up :bang:. Glad it's a trail rig and going to get beat on. It will still look way better than before. I can't wait to move forward, granted this was a huge step but just need to see parts going on not off. I think I am going with the flat charcoal grey. Should look good. I will shut up now

My tape job sucked it all blew right off. I talked to a guy and he said to get the automotive tape it will stick alot better. The old blue tape will not stick to the bedliner. I was not to worried I will just touch up the frame and already had to go over the bedliner due to all the patch panels I had to put in. Going to have to go all out for when we spray the color. But hey it's a solid color:bounce::bounce2:

RIGHT FAWKING ON!!!!!

Im soooooo close to that point I can taste it!!!! Cant wait till Im doing that step as that is getting to be the home stretch for me!

I am probally going ass backwards but it seems to be working out. I just hope the wiring and the fuel system goes okay that has been my biggest worry all along and I am almost to that point. Steering parts show up next with new radiator. I am needing to order Bilstein 5125's shocks here soon and have read about being able to use 14's on the front and 12's in the rear. I will be getting ford towers and have not welded the rear mounts to axle yet. Could I get buy with 14's all the way around? It would be nice to have al the same.

Hopefully today or tomorrow the cruiser will get painted. We had a ton of snow last night so that will slow progress (hate winter in spring). I still cant decied on a color but will either be the flat grey or flat dune beige. I like the grey but the paint guy found dune beige and we can still do the flat. The beige would still give the cruiser look. Either way the rims are going to be black. I know you guy have opions so what do ya think. I am realy leaning towards the beige to keep the toyota look.

Well going with the dune beige, but the paint shop didn't get enough flatner for the paint so Tuesday or Wednesday. This sucks but I guess I can do other stuff.

Thats a nice pic,, that colour on the right is sweet spechly with black

This is the color that I am trying to convince my son we should paint his rig. Hopefully when you are done painting and get some pictures posted he will agree with me. I think your choice of color will look great and will be easy to match if you get some trail damage that you want to repair.

Teaser shot. It flatens more when it dries, first coat:beer::beer::bounce::bounce2:

nice I like it. also you could hack up a body in there you have so much plastic up lol

That's why the neighbors don't complain :hillbilly:. The flatner did'nt flaten as much as we thought it would so it has a little shine to it but still looks good so on word :meh:.

Great Job! The beige was a good choice.

Couple of ?'s,
What is the rear seat out of?
What is your height (to framerail) with the 37's?
Is that a new TOYOTA emblem, or did you just freshen up the old one?

I like the height and stance of your's, and I'm thinking mine could stand to loose some height.
